If the enthusiasm gap between the Republicans and Democrats holds up, that will help all the Republican candidates for Congress and Senate. I think Romney will carry Iowa and that will help Steve King and all the other Republicans on the ballot.

I might add that the 53,000 more registered Republicans in Steve King’s district will be a hard hill for even Mrs. Vilsack to climb.

Christie Vilsack's bid to dethrone Rep. Steve King (R) in northeastern Iowa

Although I wish could have a Steve King representing us in the new 1st District, he is (as you know) in the new 4th, in northwestern Iowa.
