As I stated above, a FReeper butcher came in right after the story broke ans set all of us straight. The lean beef is what is left on the carcass after the loin, steaks and roasts are cut off. It’s too small to grind into meat but is still good.
They have been doing this for YEARS and no one is any worse for eating it.
Oh, and avoid hot dogs, bologna, peperoni and salami. In fact, any sausage. All contain this kind of meat.
