Beijing: A senior Chinese general has urged the army not to be slack and be prepared for any possible military combat. The remark comes amid rising tensions between China and Japan over some disputed islands.

Efforts should be made to ensure that the military is capable of resolutely performing its duty to safeguard the country's national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity whenever it is needed by the Party and the people, said Gen. Xu Caihou, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission.

Xu made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection of military units in north China's Shanxi Province, reported Xinhua. The military should improve its competence in the deterrent and operational missions, Xu said.

The army should always keep its political resolution, ideological stability and unity, Xu said. Moreover, Xu told the military to improve efforts to keep the soldiers well-informed of important current events and policies.

The international community should allow Japan to rearm.. Heavily. That would put the fear of god into the Chicoms, and the North Koreans

This is the big story people mostly are missing.

Cinese commies are thugs. They are about to have the biggest economy and are rapidly building up their military. They figure they at least can take control of the Pacific, and they believe we will not risk nuclear war with them.

Hopefully they won’t, but if the Chinese are to act, it’d be in their best interests to do it while America is flat on its back with a non-leader in the White House.

You have to wonder if that is by Chinese design. The video’s origins are still unknown.

Yep. I fear Japan will soon become the next country that gets thrown under the bus.

Just another reason for Obama to snub yet another valuable and strategic ally.

This is as much a test of America's resolve as it is the Japanese.

The Japanese can hold their own in a fight.

Problem is one of the islands were suppose to be returned to China after WW2. Even Taiwan claim the islands. The US were the author of the proposal where the island in dispute were to be returned to China in 1945. The US open this issue and if we are smart, leave it alone, otherwise who originated the proposal to return the island to China will be raised. That is why our forefathers urged nonentanglement, or atleast minimize it. Decisions of the past come back to haunt us. Remember if the Jews can claim lands of Judea and Samaria after being absent for 1700 years or more, I guess China can claim it after losing it to Japan in 1895. So how does the US resolve this? We accept claims over 1700 years ago but not promises made 67 years ago? Just like religious freedom. Condemn one nation for requiring Christian churches to register with gov vs ignoring gov that will arrest Christians for having a Bible or wearing a crucifix ala Saudi Arabia? When one talks out of both ends of their mouth, setting one standard for one nation and ignoring same standard for another nation, that is the quickest way to make an enemy. We been doing that to China since the Soviet Union fell. It is like DoD/Arms Industry need another boggie man to justify huge Defense Contracts. We had a chance to withdraw from the world and rebuild our Treasury and other needs, but we blew it in the 1990’s. Now we have angry China (1.3 billion) and angry Muslims (1.1 billion) against US with (350 million and broke).

Japans problem isn’t weapons, its pacifism right down in their DNA. After a 2 nuke attitude adjustment, they got REAL peaceful.

Germans are very very non-warlike now too. You know, currently there’s a culture thats a fine candididate for that treatment too. That really is all it would take is a string of Nukes over mecca, and medina, islamabad, tehran, and yemen.
It would be the best thing for world peace to ever happen.

I lived in Japan, for 8 years, that was some time ago....but, I have a feel of Japanese abilities, and so, if the Chinese lock horns with Japan, it will be one hell-of-fight....Japan, IMHO, has all the components of N weapons, all that is required is to assemble, and deliver

The Japanese could build a Honda quality missile and nuke as fast as they wanted. They’re good. But i wonder if they could ever be brought to a state that they would go to war.

One thing about Japan: They are so freakin WEIRD that any attack they launch will be so bizarre that the Chinese will be blindsided.

Anyone who does something like THIS, and THIS, and THIS, is off the chain weird.

Konichiwa, they now have AWACS and air refueling capability. They may already have a few nukes.

When barry the fag skips security briefings... this is the kind of intel he is thumbing his nose at. He may be receiving his ME intel from al qaeda and the mb but he needs to remember that we are surrounded by enemies far more powerful than those with rpg’s and AK’s.
