Apparently, Facebook approved a Kill Mitt Romney page that was put up and left up over 17 days. I pointed out that Twitter followed a similar example in the George Zimmerman case a few months ago.
The description for the page indicates its purpose, which is a directly threat on the life of Mitt Romney stating,
This is a page advocating the murder of Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Whats even more disturbing is the page had 30 likes!
Nice work, Facebook..
NO book.
It would be nice if we could set a “Defriend FACEBOOK DAY” Notify everyone using facebook and on OCTOBER.... WE ALL Stop using facebook.
There’s a reason why their stock is in the shitter.
“Kill Facebook” is doing alright, 26 members, but not easy to join.

Probably because no body really wants to join anything that says “Kill”, including me.
Now if it was to say “Defriend Facebook Day” I think you will see numbers double fast;)
All the more reason I don’t do FB.

I’d bet that as soon as the first “like” appeared, FB got a call from the FBI telling them to leave the page up for a few days and forward the info on all the “likes.”
Seems like an easy way to gather the names of some people who should be investigated as potential threats to the next President of the United States.
Seriously, what are the chances that the Secret Service or FBI haven’t checked them out already? I’d say about zero.
” It would be nice if we could set a Defriend FACEBOOK DAY Notify everyone using facebook and on OCTOBER.... WE ALL Stop using facebook.”
I stopped using it altogether.
” Theres a reason why their stock is in the shitter.”
Facebook should have been priced at 11-15.00 per share,
based on current earnings. Anyone could replace it in a few months.
Remember, the owner is a leftist.
truth, even before this incident
30 likes is basically none. Did anybody bother to hit the complaint button? FB is very stimulus response, you can put all kinds of crazy stuff on there as long as nobody complains.
Just FB or all Social Media?
But I'm old-ish, so that's to be expected, most likely.
Social Media is a must these days. You will not get a job without being on LinkedIn for instance. Employers think that if you are avoiding it then you have something to hide.
The silly phenomenon is prolly with us for the foreseeable future, but:
Twitter (or whatever) behind the wheel > license suspension
Twitter (or whatever) on my time > unpaid day off
