Romney Essentially Calls Obama a Liar... (truncated title)

Mitt Romney said preparation for his upcoming debates against President Barack Obama has led him to recognize that Obama tends to “say a lot of things that aren’t true” — essentially calling him a liar.

In an interview with George Stephanopolos for ABC News’ “Good Morning America” broadcast Friday, the Republican presidential nominee was asked what he’s learned about Obama as a debater, with the two set to face off for the first time Oct. 3. Romney responded that he thinks Obama is “going to say a lot of things that aren’t accurate.”

“I think the challenge that I’ll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren’t true,” Romney said. “I’ve looked at prior debates. And in that kind of case, it’s difficult to say, ‘Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren’t quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?’”

When someone tells you who/what they are, believe them.

It’s about time.

Romney continues this outrageous behavior and I will feel compelled to vote for him.

That was certainly Biden’s MO against Palin—and the media totally covered for him.

The fact that romney worries about how much time he spend correcting lies is troubling. It indicates he will ignore the lies and say what he wants thinking he is taking the high road. He has to do some of that - granted - but he would be well served to go on the attack and document the presidents lies, failures and failed idealogy. Make obama waste time defending lies and failures.

The debates must focus on obama’s record and put obama on the defense.

Well one thing I hope that Romney does is LOOK at Obama. McCain could not look at Ubama during the debates. It was the creepiest thing I saw. In my mind it made McCain look weak.

I saw a bit of the interview with George S. this morning, and I have to give Romney lots of credit for not just hauling off and punching the little SOB.

Now he can start appraising Biden for the clueless, demented buffoon he is.

Not necessarily -- Obama could actually believe the crap he says. In such a case, he would not be a liar -- he would be a blithering fool.

He needs to not only call Obama on his lies to his face, he needs to expose his hypocrisy. For example, the Obama team says that Romney has no foreign policy experience. Romney needs to ask Obama this: Mr. Obama (not Mr. President.) how much foreign policy experience did you have in 2008? How many businesses have you started? How many businesses have you run? Why have you not had a National Security briefing in weeks? Why, on 9/12, did you take off for Las Vegas after our Embassy in Libya was overrun and our Ambassador and 3 dipolmats were killed on 9/11 instead of staying in Washington and dealing with this very volatile matter? Why did you and the First Lady have to take two airplanes to your vacation destination with your entourages, departing 30 minutes apart, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. And, I’m just warming up..........
