WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is collecting $1.4 million for his campaign and the Democratic Party at a fundraising event in Washington.
The event Friday night, at a private residence in the nation's capital, attracted 35 donors who each contributed $40,000.

If he hadn’t had this local fundraiser scheduled he probably wouldn’t have come back.
