Exactly right. THIS is how govt will tax our savings and retirement accounts away. No votes, no representation, simply strip the value out of everyone’s bank accounts by fiat by devaluing the paper currency and giving that stolen property to govt stooges in the form of freshly printed dollars.
This was inevitable once we left the gold standard. It was only a matter of time.
