With few voters still on the fence, President Barack Obama holds leads over Mitt Romney in new polls of Ohio, Florida and Virginia, three of the states likely to determine who wins the White House in November.
Mr. Obama has fought Mr. Romney to a draw on the question of which candidate is best equipped to grapple with the economy, the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist Poll surveys suggest. Mr. Romney's campaign is built largely on an argument that he can best reinvigorate the economy.

Of course I hope Romney wins, but I fear it may end up a stuttering contest. We need Newt as surrogate debater. Or let Ryan debate obama and Romney debate biden.
Romney has been doing practice debates, at least since he got the nomination. Obama has been fundraising, attending parties, going on talk shows, probably a few rounds of golf.
It’s likely he trusts his self-perceived god given talent for rhetoric to pull him through.
I predict Romney will steal some of the states regarded as "safe" for Obama.
“Democrat nominee leading in key states according to latest polls” has been a standing headline every September in a Presidential election year since 1980.

Maybe if Gingrich had been our nominee, but not with Romney at the helm. Romney will continue to show Obama respect that he doesn't deserve, and he will allow himself to be diminished by the biased liberals moderating the debates.

Obumbler damn near flunked out of Occidental and had a communist shoehorn transfer him to Columbia and again into Harvard Law where not one article was written by him and not one grade has been released. He is a disbarred lawyer who surrendered his law license and taught part time till he hacked his way into politics. He has never been known as a hard worker. I bet he has done NO debate prep.

In this life, it makes no difference. If we are terrorized by islam we will fight, if the economy collapses, we will alternately starve and fight.
And God will not judge obama’s treason or competence, those things are of man. But He will judge.

You’re so wrong. Romney is going to the debates ready to battle. You can freak over faulty polls, but how come the libs are not talking about already losing Indiana and north Carolina back to the GOP? And a few other states ready to topple too like Wisconsin and Colorado? Obama is toast that’s why the media is in 1984 mode trying to convince us that fiction is reality
