CORPUS CHRISTI - A resident in the 2400 block of Niagra opened fire on a couple of intruders last night. Police say the 48-year-old man heard glass breaking after 2:30 a.m., so he got a gun and headed towards the kitchen.
There were two men inside the kitchen who he ordered to 'freeze.' Instead, one of the men headed towards him. The victim fired his gun and the men ran off.
While being interviewed by police, the resident collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital for an undisclosed medical issue. There's no word on his condition this afternoon.

I see an advantage to leaving a body for the coronet to ID. I’m pretty good with my 9mm at fifteen yards. Inside the kitchen dining area i should be deadly. (no mcmansion here). But I’d probably take the mossberg anyway. No way i miss with that.
My banjo, my grand piano, the violin, and even my squeeze box will remain mute (I sometimes play "Matchmaker" late at night. everyone should own an accordian).
I had no idea the brass section would nark.
Yes, I'm kidding. ;)

Police did not know if the men were struck by gunfire, according to the release. The suspects are described as Hispanic males between 20 and 24 years old. One of the men was described as clean-shaven and wearing a white T-shirt, and the other was bald and wore a black T-shirt, according to the release.

LMAO!...You are one bad dude J Random!...but seriously....once the whole brass section is indited...They ALL want to blow their own horn!...but a plea bargain would be expected for a coronet with “little man syndrome”
I hope the man is alright and they catch the 2 criminals.
