Two Marines were killed and several more injured when Afghan militants armed with rocket propelled grenades and small arms breached the perimeter of the main U.S. Marine base in southern Afghanistan, following a rocket and mortar attack on the base that is shared with British forces.

Army Maj. Martyn Crighton, a spokesman at International Security Assistance Force's Joint Command, said the attack on Camp Bastion/ Camp Leatherneck may still be ongoing. At least two were killed and a number were wounded. 16 Taliban were killed in the attack.

The base took indirect and small arms fire, causing major damage to buildings, an aircraft hangar and several military jets. Two of the eight Harrier jets at the base were damaged or destroyed, a US military source tells Fox News.

(snip)

The base is a major military facility in the war-ravaged nation's Helmand province.

Britain's Prince Harry is stationed at the base with his Apache helicopter unit.

(snip)

Fox News has learned that the attack by armed militants on the main US marine base in southern Afghanistan was larger and more sophisticated than first reported.

We have to get out of there if we are not going to do war. Political correctness as a basis for war is abusive of our soldiers.

Seems General Dempsey should be tending to war business rather than playing politics for Obama. First he tells vets not to oppose obama then he calls Rev. Jones and tell him not to promote a movie. Bet he’s got his nose in everyone’s pants about homos, too. Busy guy.

The press spokesman is right on top of things, which I imagine makes the terrorists happy. What possible excuse could there be for giving out casualty and damage reports when there is any chance that the attack is ongoing?

Identify the Families of the these dead Taliban fighters, every single one and make them dissappear. Let’s challenge the committment of these clowns. Go ahead and be a martyr. Just understand that this choice will cost your direct and extended family EVERYTHING.

Our side doesn't behave that way, which is one of the things I like about us over them - good over evil. I would like to see us get much more proactive on killing terrorists, anywhere, any time, regardless of whether they are actively involved in a terrorist attack at that moment. In particular, I'd like to see every terrorist camp in the world turned into a ghost town without warning. Anti-Russian terrorists? Kill them all. Anti-American terrorists? Kill them all. Anti-Jewish terrorists? Kill them all. Anti-Hindu terrorists? Kill them all. There is no reason to wait and see who their target is. If they are training as terrorists, all civilized governments should consider them enemies of civilization and kill them all.

You better believe it.

NATO writes the rules of engagement for OUR troops.

They basically state that soldiers need to consult with EU lawyers before defending themselves.

I’m not kidding.

The people in the democrat and republican parties have hijacked our constitutional government and have put our troops and this country in harms way and incredible danger.

Read about China/Japan conflict heating up with Russia getting involved. Read about ‘spontaneous’ riots cropping up an our embassies all over the world, where the Marines tasked to protect US personnel and assets are not allowed bullets for their fire arms.

Think back to the USS Cole, they were not allowed to defend themselves either.

Both parties have drunk the globalist koolaid and are responsible for the deaths of many Americans as a result. Our military has been deployed according to Bush, for 30 years. We are weary yet we what we are fighting for will result in our own destruction as globalists are running the war effort.
