Earlier this week, we wrote about how the White House was working on an executive order to act as a "stand in" for cybersecurity legislation that has so far failed to pass Congress (CISPA passed in the House, but a different effort, the Cybersecurity Act, failed in the Senate, and it would have been difficult to get the two houses aligned anyway). Last weekend Jason Miller from Federal News Radio wrote about a draft he saw... but failed to share the actual draft. We got our hands on a draft (and confirmed what it was with multiple sources) and wanted to share it, as these kinds of things deserve public scrutiny and discussion. It's embedded below. As expected, it does have elements of the Lieberman/Collins bill (to the extent that the White House actually can do things without legislation). It's also incredibly vague. The specific requirements for government agencies are left wide open to interpretation. For example, the State Dept. should engage other governments about protecting infrastructure. Well, duh. As expected, most stuff focuses on Homeland Security and its responsibilities to investigate a variety of different cybersecurity issues -- but, again, it's left pretty vague.

And all this blah, blah....is about a little old video that ruined his foreign policy and has gotten Americans killed...
...a video which liberal-controlled Google,
“refuses” to remove.
Even at the request of the Government.
(when we have all seen good videos removed,
for much less reason...)
Obama is a tricky dictator, ruling by fiat when he is unable to convince Congress to pass his agenda.
Call him little dick for short.

This is just more “bread and circuses” to move the agenda along (free speech , 2nd Amendment, inflation, QE3,etc., etc.,...
When you are cooking the frog , you put it in cool water over a heat source and heat it up grandually. Otherwise , if you put it in hot water , it would jump out.
Click through and try actually reading that memo. All I can see is that pretty much everything in the private sector—I imagine technology, communications, transportation, energy, utilities, healthcare and, why not, housing—can be considered critical infrastructure. So all of that needs to agree to be centrally monitored and, as our government overlords may deem if some sort of threat is perceived, seized for central operation by government.
Is there the least bit not fascist about the premise and processes outlined there?
Okay, I just clicked through. Yep, food and agriculture is in there, but housing doesn’t appear to be. Financial services, water and waste management, chemicals, are critical manufacturing are, however, all on the list with technology, communications, government facilities, energy, etc..
Still, I’d imagine that to add up to the majority of our economy?
IT Security ala Government committee mandate. LOL. Oh sure, that’s gonna work.
In the meantime, “script kiddies” are being blamed for the 30000 pcs that had their data replaced with a partial image of a burning American flag.
