In a CBS News/ New York Times poll conducted as the current Middle East turmoil erupted, President Obama has the advantage over Mitt Romney when it comes to who voters trust to handle an international crisis.
Sixty-five percent of likely voters are at least somewhat confident in Mr. Obama's ability to handle an international crisis, including four in 10 who have a lot of confidence. By comparison, 58 percent have confidence in Romney's ability to do so, including just one in four with a lot of confidence.
The poll was conducted Sept. 8-12, and most of the interviews were done in the days just before violent protests against the U.S. broke out in the Middle East.
On Sept. 11, protesters angered by an obscure Internet movie belittling Islam attacked U.S. diplomatic offices in Egypt and Libya. Early the next morning, the U.S. learned that U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed. By Friday, Muslims around the world were protesting for the fourth straight day.
When asked separately who would do a better job handling foreign policy, 49 percent chose Mr. Obama and 39 percent chose Romney.
LOL! That’s some funny stuff. CBS News/ New York Times crack me up. Buffoons.
Perfect
“CBS News/ New York Times poll “
It’s like taking one idiot, and finding an even dumber one to do a survey TOGETHER!
Talk about being delusional
While of course I’m voting for Romney, I do think it shows that at least at this juncture, he is a fairly weak candidate, and most of his support comes from the fact that “he’s not Obama.”
He needs to change that perception around quickly, waiting until October isn’t going to cut it. And he’s not going to do it, being Milquetoast Mitt.
How desperate are they?
If you consider stabbing Israel in the back and giving a green light to the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign policy achievment then yes, Obama has a foreign policy advantage.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch ....
Mexico: 16 men executed in Tamaulipas
The most recent rash of violence in Tamaulipas has claimed 16 lives after a series of executions by suspected drug cartel members in San Fernando and Nuevo Laredo.
The bodies of the victims were retrieved in both cities simultaneously by members of the Mexican military and Tamaulipas State officials, who turned them over to the Tamaulipas attorney generals office for further investigation.
In Nuevo Laredo, the bodies were found at 8 a.m. Friday near the intersection of a national highway and Colosio Boulevard. One body hung from a highway overpass, while eight others were strewn about in the area, according to a news release from the attorney generals office. The bodies all males were not identified, but eight of victims are believed to be between 25 and 50 years old while. The ninth was that of a teenager, approximately 16 years old.
Officials confirmed that all the victims had been executed, each with a gunshot to the head.
About 15 minutes after the grisly discovery in Nuevo Laredo and 200 miles to the southeast, the Mexican military responded to a rural area outside San Fernando, Tamps., where seven bodies had been abandoned.
The bodies were found in the Carbonera area alongside a road. The bodies were only identified as males, believed to be between 50 and 65 years old who had been bound and shot. The state attorney generals offices took over the investigation.

This MASSIVE policy failure of Obama is getting the needed
spin (followed, of course, immediately by slanted polling
designed to reinforce the narrative we’ll be hearing for another 7 weeks) to transform it to political advantage for them. It turns something which should easily be enough to SINK this Administration, expose its naivete, its wishful thinking, and its out-of-touchness with real-world dynamics,
into a positive: another case of denial at how the policies of Obama have immeasurably messed up the Middle East-—and when Obama in an interview with Telemundo, says Egypt is neither an ally nor an enemy, but a “new government trying to find its way”, you realize with a chill that he’s describ ing the American government he’s been running for the last four years. See, America, and every nation in the Middle East now torn and threatened by Radical Islam, are all on an even keel sailing in the same boat-—we’re all partners in an apocalytic “remaking” of the big global picture, and this is precisely what he promised four years ago, and what he’s
“accomplished”.
This actually passed the editor. Which means he has a sense of humor, is an idiot, or a paid agent of the Hussein regime..
This is an ongoing problem, resulting from the corruption of the Media & Educational establishments, which have contrived a general taboo against challenging Obama's total lack of fundamental American connections, perceptions & fundamental values. In any other age, he would have never gotten off the ground as a candidate.
Obama--wherever he was born--spent his formative years in Indonesia. His childhood images are not those of an American. In place of homespun tales about the immortal Washington, Jefferson, the Minutemen, Paul Revere, and the ordeals and achievements of the original settlers; his head was filled with whatever a child in Indonesia is exposed to.
Obama is, at best, only An Accidental American. His candidacy should have been challenged on this basis; the gaps in his understanding of the American tradition, should have been the number 1 issue. But instead, the Media played upon all the Leftist fables, that the Media & Educational establishments have been promoting over the past two generations. And the demagogue went virtually unchallenged on this, as on most other critical issues.

EXACTLY!!!! You’ve nailed it!!!:)
Thank you! I try to wake folks up. The hour is really getting late.
LOL at CBS News..Obama is laughed at all throughout the world. People mock him because he’s an idiot. I’d trust my two dogs handling foreign policy over Obama
Yeah, Americans are thrilled to see their embassies burning and their diplomats murdered.
The last time America had an ambassador murdered, Jimmy Carter was in the White House.
Crapping their pants desperate!!!
Have you ever considered that the polls are completely fabricated and in no way an accurate representation of public sentiment?
Obama has an amazing amount of foreign policy experience. He has presided over the collapse of our previously successful surge in Iraq, over the failure of our surge in Afghanistan, over the toppling of friendly or at least neutral governments in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, and a civil war that has killed thousands in Syria and threatens to replace a brutal dictator with someone far worse. Obama has protected the nuclear weapons program in Iran from serious sanctions and from outside attack. He has weakened relationships with England, Israel, and other allies, while bungling policies in Somalia and the rest of the world. There is no way former governor Romney could possibly match that record. Obama’s experience is one reason why Romney will do so well in November.
