Imagine if you’re a person in your mid-sixties (ish) and normally watch network news. Good Morning America, etc. In terms of the Middle East, what would you actually KNOW right now? As you prepare to vote in November.

Many such a person will describe Barack Obama as one of the greatest US Presidents in history. They can't wait to get to the voting booth to pull the lever for their hero.

I'm going to be 69 by November and have breakfast every month with a group of retired from my former employer. The group size varies from three or four to as many as fifteen. The Old Pharts as we call ourselves come from all social strata and the majority view is generally to the right of the average poster on FR. The only friction came from two die-hard Obamabots who have voluntarily stopped showing up.

The two "bad apples" were both members of a national union and became unemployed after the plant was closed by it's European owners.

Regards,
GtG

PS I'm the youngest of the "Old Pharts" and I don't think any of us watch "Good Morning America". My wife calls me a "Political Junky".
