I think he’s mush headed and was fed up with Bush, who, let’s face it, was less than optimal. My wife, who is reflexively pro-American, pro-military could not stand McCain. While there was no way she would possibly ever have voted for Obama, she cast a very reluctant vote for McCain. I think Bush-McLame really turned a lot of conservative voter off. (Ya think?)

I think a lot of Obama voters were just mad at the Republicans. And really, who could blame them? They just didn’t think Obama would be half as bad as he really was.

McLame would have been a terrible president, but vastly superior to what we have now.

I can’t stand McCain either, but I actively supported him once he was the nominee. I knew what and who Obama was before he ever declared his candidacy for the presidency. I read everything I could find about him and was convinced he was not your run-of-the-mill liberal democrat. I knew he was a dangerous radical. I still can’t believe so many were fooled by him. Col. Hunt may be a liberal, but I think he’s a patriotic American. How could he not see what was so obvious to me?

Excellent post. And if it weren’t for Sarah, McCain would have lost even more conservative voters.
