Weird, weird times. In social gathering over the weekend found out that several of my buddies are actively working against Tim Murphy. It was the oddest conversation. Ever. I had to ask, why the vitriol over Murphy? Answer (honest!) “how can WE have a republican congressman?” it was like she had discovered Kryptonite. Apparently Izzy (sp?) running against Murphy, is showing up in dozens of living rooms. Ok—but a big part of his spiel is how antiObama Murphy is. And people are welcoming “let’s all support Obama” argument. I’m fearing that the polls here in PA might be right.
Sigh. Fearing PA is doomed.

Murphy used to be my congresscritter (or at least still is until next year), but his district was gerrymandered last year and may include some democrat strongholds to try to force him out.
I’m continually amazed at the amount of stupidity by stubborn Democrat lever-pullers around here. But I did meet a guy yesterday who, despite being a registered Democrat, has nothing but contempt for Obama. He says he gets calls from the local democrats trying to rally his support for November, and he tells them where to go, in no uncertain terms.

Just a quick ? For yinzers...next time you are at your local Giant Eagle—take a look at the parking lot (farthermost from store where employees would park). I noticed UFCW for Obama 2012 bumperstickers (some vehicles with 2) parked there. I know the Big Bird is union—but it’s rare to see bumperstickers so prominently displayed.
Boy—local news on wpgb is doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on the “low budget insulting movie causing unrest in the Muslim world” meme...
