Were those British or US Harriers??? They were USMC Harriers.
There are no longer any British Harriers. The USMC bought all fifty remaining airframes from the Royal Navy -- which no longer has any fixed-wing aircraft carriers -- to supplement our existing fleet.

The USMC bought all fifty remaining airframes from the Royal Navy -- Incorrect. JFH - Joint Force Harrier - was a composite Royal Navy Royal Air Force squadron. The GR9s were purchased form the MoD not the Royal Navy.
