LOS ANGELES—Amid rumors of staff infighting and a slide in the polls, Mitt Romney is looking to reset his campaign starting with a speech here Monday before Hispanic voters. He's shaking up his relentless focus on the economy and offering more specifics about a broader range of policies and a clearer argument about why he would be a better president than Barack Obama.

Two senior aides privately dismissed reports of discord over the strategy implemented by Stuart Stevens, the Republican presidential nominee's chief strategist—insisting his job is not in danger and that internal staff grumbling cited in a Politico report published Sunday wasn't as dramatic as described.

I am sure Romney’s promises he will make to Hispanics will make them all vote for him and make the American people happy about those promises too.

That’s sarcasm folks. Just so you know.

Why doesn’t he just say what he believes, beliefs are not strategies.
Romney’s problem is that he has no core.

Mitts up double digits with indies and up 2 with lvs.

Now with the 47 pct talking point out it will only help.

The 3 votes he will lose to the freeloader class is ok

I would have done the same thing!! There's probably more fence sitters out there than we all realize.

The MSM is not going to be able to elect Obama this time around.

Some freepers forget that Romney spent most of his career as an executive. Executives make decisions and trade offs. They are not strict ideologists. Congress and Senate background candidates tend to mince words and hold back more and avoid making trade offs and decisions. I think Romney will be OK. Could he be better, always, but is he in real trouble, I don’t think so. My only disappointment is he should be whipping Obama in the polls based on the economy. It still too close and maybe the debates will decide the outcome. Romney is a slow and steady type of guy, doing what must be done to win and adjusting accordingly. Remember he was a flaming liberal when he ran in MA, a RINO most of the time till he ran in the primaries as a moderate conservative.

There is a Presidential candidate on the ballot who refuses to pander and supports 90% of what FReepers believe.

There probably won't be such a candidate next time (if there is one).

Mittski needs a couple of “sets”, they appear to be genetic disorder in his case.

What would you like to hear?

I’m sure Mitty would be happy to tell you if only you would tell him what to say.

Romney is kicking Obama's ass in the polls especially among independents! The over sampling of dems in these polls you're seeing is just ridiculous and everyone knows they are so skewed! Gallup is a complete JOKE!

The MSM is doing everything they can possibly think of to hide the fact America is fed up with this charlatan, Obama.

It actually would be refreshing to hear Mitt say, “I’m a pro-gay, abortionist, who loves gun control, taxes, and my corporate buddies.”

I vaguely listened as he addressed something amnesty related today. My thought was, “I’ll bet he’s about ready to hire that illegal lawn guy back to do his grounds.”

I know he really wants to. He shouldn’t have been so hard on Rick Perry. Even when he was, I knew he was to the left of Perry on the issue.

Who else could they get at a reasonable price to serve dinner on their silver service?

I'm hardpress to see the difference between MSNBC and Yahoo News.

Maybe except for the vile nature of stupidity from MSNBC host.

Assuming there are 30 million illegals in America, that’s enough to create some 50 congressional districts and they don’t even need to vote to do it. If they do vote, you can pretty much count on those districts being almost exclusively democrat. As it is we don’t know how many districts exist almost wholly due to the presence of illegals.

The costs of administering a single district must run into the millions. How much pork can a district seek? How many earmarks? What will all those new democrat congressmen vote for?

If you think Obamacare is bad, you haven’t seen squat. Wait till the day all those democrats start dictating how many cars a family can have, what job you can have, or where you can live. Wait till they dictate that all paychecks come from government and you get a small cut of what is left over.

Illegals are nothing but government growth hormone and amnesty today is nothing short of treason.

I honestly think Romney needs to use Dem scare tactics and tell these voters what’s coming with Obamacare. People don’t know, they don’t know they’re going to be screened for every med or procedure for cost-effectiveness. They don’t know those boards are already in place.

Obamacare is key to this race, Romney. As Santorum said, don’t give this issue away.
