An uber-lib friend of mine excitedly called me last night saying that the internet was “on fire” with people - including Bloomberg’s media outfit - that this was Romney’s death knell. “How is he going to get the swing voters after this?” I told him that 1) It’s true what Romney said, and 2) That the swing voters are going to vote their pocketbooks and 401Ks. I don’t think this is going to change anything...but man, was he happy.
The defense to this?

Your friend’s excitement should be uncontainable today with the media going for Romney’s jugular. Doug Schoen and even John Fund claim this was “too divisive and will drive the dems, who weren’t going to vote, as well as the undecideds to the polls once they realize they were dissed. Instead of uniting people he’s divided them into classes.” Funny I thought that was what NObama has been doing for years now and it didn’t seem to jerk anyone’s chain..... I doubt this will die anytime soon as he media will never let it go and team NObama must be busy developing new ads distorting his words.
