A northwestern New Jersey man who caused a stir when he walked through a store parking lot in a Batman-style outfit shortly after a deadly mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

If his intent wasn’t to scare, they shouldn’t have charged him.
After I graduated from Vanderbilt, I would occasionaly go back and hang out with some old friends. Dressed up as a pirate on Halloween night and went on campus. People kept their distance. What I didn’t know was that there had been some knife attacks. And costumes had been banned.
So there I was in costume with a knife strapped to my side. Was probably lucky I didn’t get arrested. Someone relieved me of my knife during the evening. And nobody told me about the ban until the end of the evening.

Well, we used to be able to have some fun. If some teenager "streaks" a football game these days, he's charged with everything from public indecency to child pornography.
It's way out of hand this police state we've allowed.
