Romney: PA Just Not Interested in Peace
Arutz Sheva ^ | 18/9/12 | David Lev

Posted on 09/18/2012 2:32:43 PM PDT by Eleutheria5

In a video released Tuesday, Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney says that a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute is highly unlikely, because unlike the Israelis, the PA has “no interest whatsoever” in making peace with Israel. The video, which shows Romney speaking at a recent fundraiser in Florida, was posted Tuesday on the web site of ultra-liberal Mother Jones magazine.

At the event, Romney was asked if the "Palestinian problem" could be solved. Romney replied that the Palestinians have "no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish. I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way," Romney said. Asked what his policy would be, Romney said that it would be to "move things along the best way you can. You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that this is going to remain an unsolved problem -- and we kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve it.” The White House slammed Romney's remarks, saying that President Obama's predecessors, both Democrat Bill Clinton and Republican George W. Bush, were very active in the search for Middle East peace. "It is simply the wrong approach to say, we can't do anything about it, so we'll just kick it down the field," said Obama spokesman Jay Carney. "That's not leadership. That's the opposite of leadership."

I already won a Nobel Piece Prize and everything for it. They're gonna make piece even if it kills them (the Israelis, of course). I am NOT returning that prize money or the nifty medallion.

Again Mitt..BRAVO!!! He is absolutely right! Palestineans don’t want peace, they NEVER did..for them, peace is the total destruction of Israel, that for them is peace, when Israel is wiped off the map, you will never make peace with the devil and Romney is right. See, THIS is the Mitt Romney we need to see more of. The Mitt Romney that looks so calm and speaks from the heart in these videos when he doesn’t know he’s on camera, THAT is the Mitt Romney we need to see when he knows he’s on camera. Sometimes when he’s interviewed he is too robotic, he needs to be the Mitt Romney I’m seeing in these videos..I guess this means Romney won’t be getting the Arab vote LOL LOL

I hope Obama comes out disputing this, saying that they do want peace. Romney could make a great ad.

Obama says the Palestinians want peace

(Palestinians firing rockets, burning flags, yelling death to the Jews)

Obama says the Muslim Brotherhood are moderate

(Mursi yelling “Jihad is our way”, Muztards burning our flag)

I personally applaud Mitt for saying what has been patently obvious since before Carter. Peace is only possible with Islam when you are strong enough, and willing enough, to beat the crap out of them whenever they step out of line.

If, at any time, you weaken, they advance and take as much as they can. They are not interested in “peace” and never have been. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

Amazing. It seems that Romney has discovered an outrageous, new, camopaign strategy - telling the truth. I wonder how it will work.

How many Presidents have worked with these rabid dogs and not gotten anywhere? What has Obama gotten out of them in the last 4 years and he is Muslim just like they are.

The Palestinians want piece, not peace. They want every piece of Israel, and they want the current Israeli’s dead. That is the only thing that will satisfy them.

Can’t be helped. Mods have a problem with headline alteration. They should have thought of the consternation they’d cause all those freepers down the line when they were naming the terrorist front pseudo-government at Oslo. Why not do something constructive, and find a better abbreviation? Now that they want to discard Oslo, we finally have some latitude.

You mean Pennsylvania's interested in peace? The Steelers maybe, but I'm not so sure about the Eagles... :0)

OK. I’ll do my bit. Instead of calling them the PA, let’s call them the Home for Discredited Sociopaths (HDS).

Those that want peace pledge their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to secure the unalienable rights, endowed by The Creator, of their fellow man. This is something that those in the Palestinian Authority will never do.
