Frank Rich formerly of the NY Times now the New York Magazine spent the RNC convention week listening and reading right wing stuff.. he liked Savage; Ann Romney’s speech domesticating her husband (“Just what we need … a man who may be president, that he does his own laundry!”). He was scarcely more charitable toward Ryan’s, asking if any of the vice-presidential nominee’s fans could “remember one word” that he said. His contempt for the GOP Establishment was bottomless. “The drunken speech the other night by John Boehner was the beginning of the end,” Savage said. “The man slurred as though he was a janitor in a bar, not the speaker of the House of Representatives … Now you understand why the tea-party movement arose, and now you understand why they haven’t even mentioned the tea party … I have no idea what they stand for.” And he was still just warming up. “The Republicans have just dug their own grave,” he continued. “Unless Romney gets up there like a man and stops acting like a pocketbook carrier for his wife, he is finished.” [end of quotes]

Rich and his wife Alexandra Witchel are the couple who are super wealthy with mansions and all and spend their time worrying about the poor 24/7?

.. but at least Rich learned something during the week or torture.. he ended his column with . . . if I learned anything in my week strolling around the conservative mind, it was that anyone who sticks to an exclusive diet of lamestream media is missing the news.

I’m in Japan but was unaware of the Chinese General’s comments about war with Japan until Dr. Savage mentioned it . Just posted the story on my Facebook page .

I have noticed in recent weeks an upsurge in military flights ( jets , helis ) over us here in Kyushu ( southern Japan right across the street from China and Korea ) .

I remember how he says talk radio needs to change, that “Obama good, Romney bad” can’t survive forever. Yet he engages in that too; how many more times do we have to hear about Obama’s missing grades, etc.?

The part that sounded live was The Donald coming on, announcing his reopening of Mar-A-Lago, Savage’s fundraising plans for elephants. (Better than collecting money for donkeys.)

Savage is correct about the way Israel acts.

I recall the Sharon-Arafat encounters for years. Arafat or associates would attack Israel. Sharon would invate the Palestinian area, surround Arafat compound, shake his fist, then withdraw because the US SoS [Rice] said to. Six months later, the actions repeats. Another passage of time, and the scenario repeats again.

That went on until Sharon had a stroke and Arafat died (possibly from radiation poisoning).

For years, Netanyahu has been claiming that Iran is just months away from having a nuclear bomb. No doubt that Iran is working on it, and may be close. No doubt that the software viruses and deaths of nuclear related scientists and personnel have come from outside Iran. Still, Netanyahu has been sounding that same warning for years. [Savage is just saying the same thing. lol]
