A French satirical magazine is set to publish several cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed on Wednesday, a move that is likely to inflame the Islamic faithful and militants who have already rioted in more than 20 countries over a movie mocking the prophet.
Depictions of the prophet are strictly prohibited and considered blasphemous by Muslims. Cartoons of Muhammad published in Denmark in 2005 and then reproduced in newspapers across Europe triggered riots throughout the Mideast and Africa. Churches and embassies were torched and at least 100 people died in the outbreaks and police crackdowns.
The magazine “Charlie Hebdo” has confirmed that it will publish the cartoons, but has not revealed what they will depict. French newspaper “Le Monde” reports that some of the cartoons show the prophet in “particularly explicit poses,” without providing any further detail.

In a rare instance when I agree with the ACLU was the time Norm Seigal said that in reality the 1st amendment doesn’t protect free speech, it’s there to protect UNPOPULAR speech. Also Nathan Perlmutter who headed the ADL said that best way to deal with “hate speech” is NOT to censor it, but challenge it with more speech.

I think the real key to inciting Muslims around the world is to use video cartoons. They can be based on the supposing founding events of Islam, highlighting its barbarism and savagery, ignorance and primitivism. And, in the process, tear down their origin myths by making sarcastic light of them.
Mohammed can be portrayed as having satyriasis, but only of the perverted and grotesque. A rapist of men and animals, he exposes himself to small children, who he then tries to catch and rape as they flee. Conversely, he hates and fears women, because his mother beat him for his perversity.
Show him as a bad liar, who changes his visions for his own benefit, commits murder at intervals and then when caught, tells everyone that Allah told him to do it.
There really is no bottom to show what a disgusting, evil man he was.
In any event, make a dozen such animated videos and they could be put on the Internet and propagate around the world so fast that they could not be stopped. Hopefully their religious leaders would prohibit anyone from looking at them, to the effect you might imagine.

About what I was thinking, and if the media in this country had a backbone, every last publication and TV station in the US would have published those Mohammed cartoons several years back as a show of solidarity in defense of free speech and freedom of the press.
It is insane to allow raging Moslems to erode our freedoms, and if we continue to give in there will be no end to their demands of 'respect' for Islam.

You may have hit the nail on the head here. I mean this in a different way. Ok, so things simmer down for a while vis Salman Rushdie and Westergard in Norway. People become apprehensive that the Islamic sociopaths may be disturbed again. Then comes the inevitable opportunity. They go ballistic. Ranting, raving, burning, and threatening, even killing.
Just keep it coming every day. Even these souped up rage merchants can only expend so much energy. Even the hashish that they may use, eventually wears off. Smother 'em. Keep it coming, they will wear themselves out. Else be prepared to accept the whole terror driven subservient status, that they know has been adopted.
The French government, unlike the US, has powers to shut down publication of things deemed disruptive or inappropriate. It’s unlikely Francois Holland will allow this to go forward.

Everyone says that the 14 Minute anti-Mohammad video that started all of this is reprehensible. But, when I watched it I got the feeling that the scenes were based on the recorded stories in the life of Mohammad.
For example, there must be a story of him not wearing under wear and a woman asks him to cover up. That must be a real story because no one would like to such a detail.
I haven’t heard anyone defend the video. I mean, it was crudely produced, but were the stories not based on what Mohammad actually was said to have done?

Did he really have sex with men and animals? How do we know this? Is this among the stories of his life? It if is, why is it blasphemy to tell people about it?
I got so disgusted with the PC cover up of Islam that I made this blog. Questions About Islam
Instead of saying funny, satirical or insulting things, I simply ask questions about what a sick puppy of a religion it is.
Sometimes subtlety is better than direct attacks.
