Lets start off small...Free or Reduced Public School Lunch.
I didn't meet the maximum “minimum income” requirements.
I was encouraged several times by several schools to lie.
It was repeatedly pointed out that nobody ever verifies the accuracy of those forms, I could save a few pennies, and the school would get big money from the Feds if they claimed a certain percentage of “low income households”.
Why would a school want me to lie about my income to save myself a measly few hundred dollars a year? (And not even that much, since packing a lunch was always an option)
Because THEY would get several thousands of Federal taxpayer dollars if I lied. Each additional tax cheat and liar they could convince to cooperate, meant even more money for them, personally.
It had nothing to do with whether or not I could or would feed my own child.
Since I am part of the 53%, it seriously angered me that a group of government workers thought I was stupid enough to agree to become a part of the problem, and not the solution.
I hope our next President signs an Executive Order requiring a simple cursory income verification audit of applications for this “Program”.
One day later, he can disband the entire Department of Education, or start indicting the employees of that Agency for fraud, under RICO statutes.
Kind of like Gov. Scott Walker on steroids!

No, let’s start with socialized education. Teach your own kids or pay someone else. Of course anyone should be free to voluntarily help someone else or accept that help.
