Obama's Media Matters Goon Squad
Investor’s Business Daily ^ | Sept. 18, 2012

Abuse Of Power: The Justice Department has been caught colluding with left-wing media "watchdog" Media Matters to suppress critics who've embarrassed the Obama administration. What is this, Hugo Chavez's Venezuela?

Based on a cache of internal Justice Department e-mails obtained by the Daily Caller, Attorney Gen. Eric Holder's press staff has been collaborating all along with left-wing media "watchdog" Media Matters to smear any reporter asking uncomfortable questions, to discourage whistle-blowers, to discredit political watchdogs and to suppress damaging news about what's going on in the Obama administration.

The Daily Caller found dozens of pages of e-mails between DOJ Public Affairs Director Tracy Schnakler and Media Matters staffers planning and discussing how to attack reporters who covered scandals such as the Black Panther voter suppression case, and the Fast and Furious scandal where DOJ sold thousands of guns to Mexico's notorious crime cartels — the truth of which DOJ didn't want to get out.

“I do care if Federal Agents are murdered as the result of a Federally-instigated program intended to squelch the Second Amendment?”

That is just the tip of the iceberg (and the part that is probably more important to Americans); think about how many MEXICANS died as a result of this program...It is as destabilizing to Mexico as anything we pulled in the Middle East.

Between this and Hollywood coordinating with Obama I bet Goebbels has a smile on his face.

Actually Goebbels would be flabbergasted at how completely corrupt American media and govt has become. He'd marvel at how thoroughly brainwashed a so called "free" people are and how well the chains of PC has enslaved them to lies.

People in the White House, Media Matters and DOJ have to go to jail over this. This is an absolute betrayal of the power weilded by, and of the public faith entrusted to, both the White house and the Media.

The House better investigate this and come back with criminal referrals.

Remember when the media took down Talon News Service because they were making the MSM look bad?

We were told they were too connected to the White House. That a homosexual porn company was involved. Smoke, mirrors, distractions.

When will those who love freedom wake up and realize that these are desperate times for so-called "progressives" who want to "fundamentally change" America. The ultimate consequence of their idea of "change" does not allow for freedom. But, let's allow a writer of the late 19th Century address the question at hand. Note especially the last paragraph of quoted material.

Americans should hold fast to the Founders' ideas of liberty instead of allowing its leaders to plunge it into European-style socialism.

From the Liberty Fund Library is "A Plea for Liberty: An Argument Against Socialism and Socialistic Legislation," edited by Thomas Mackay (1849 - 1912), Chapter 1, excerpted final paragraphs from Edward Stanley Robertson's essay:

"I have suggested that the scheme of Socialism is wholly incomplete unless it includes a power of restraining the increase of population, which power is so unwelcome to Englishmen that the very mention of it seems to require an apology. I have showed that in France, where restraints on multiplication have been adopted into the popular code of morals, there is discontent on the one hand at the slow rate of increase, while on the other, there is still a 'proletariat,' and Socialism is still a power in politics.
I.44
"I have put the question, how Socialism would treat the residuum of the working class and of all classes—the class, not specially vicious, nor even necessarily idle, but below the average in power of will and in steadiness of purpose. I have intimated that such persons, if they belong to the upper or middle classes, are kept straight by the fear of falling out of class, and in the working class by positive fear of want. But since Socialism purposes to eliminate the fear of want, and since under Socialism the hierarchy of classes will either not exist at all or be wholly transformed, there remains for such persons no motive at all except physical coercion. Are we to imprison or flog all the 'ne'er-do-wells'?
I.45
"I began this paper by pointing out that there are inequalities and anomalies in the material world, some of which, like the obliquity of the ecliptic and the consequent inequality of the day's length, cannot be redressed at all. Others, like the caprices of sunshine and rainfall in different climates, can be mitigated, but must on the whole be endured. I am very far from asserting that the inequalities and anomalies of human society are strictly parallel with those of material nature. I fully admit that we are under an obligation to control nature so far as we can. But I think I have shown that the Socialist scheme cannot be relied upon to control nature, because it refuses to obey her. Socialism attempts to vanquish nature by a front attack. Individualism, on the contrary, is the recognition, in social politics, that nature has a beneficent as well as a malignant side. The struggle for life provides for the various wants of the human race, in somewhat the same way as the climatic struggle of the elements provides for vegetable and animal life—imperfectly, that is, and in a manner strongly marked by inequalities and anomalies. By taking advantage of prevalent tendencies, it is possible to mitigate these anomalies and inequalities, but all experience shows that it is impossible to do away with them. All history, moreover, is the record of the triumph of Individualism over something which was virtually Socialism or Collectivism, though not called by that name. In early days, and even at this day under archaic civilisations, the note of social life is the absence of freedom. But under every progressive civilisation, freedom has made decisive strides—broadened down, as the poet says, from precedent to precedent. And it has been rightly and naturally so.
I.46
"Freedom is the most valuable of all human possessions, next after life itself. It is more valuable, in a manner, than even health. No human agency can secure health; but good laws, justly administered, can and do secure freedom. Freedom, indeed, is almost the only thing that law can secure. Law cannot secure equality, nor can it secure prosperity. In the direction of equality, all that law can do is to secure fair play, which is equality of rights but is not equality of conditions. In the direction of prosperity, all that law can do is to keep the road open. That is the Quintessence of Individualism, and it may fairly challenge comparison with that Quintessence of Socialism we have been discussing. Socialism, disguise it how we may, is the negation of Freedom. That it is so, and that it is also a scheme not capable of producing even material comfort in exchange for the abnegations of Freedom, I think the foregoing considerations amply prove."
EDWARD STANLEY ROBERTSON

It’s ideology but not JUST ideology. They’re taking bribes. Money always leaves a trail, especially with the stupid. If we could find the money trail, we could have what is necessary to put these guys away.

I wonder how big the government “grants” are that keeps this outfit running. I wouldn’t doubt the republicans voting to give funding to obama’s “press corps”.

Operation Mockingbird took down Mccarthy.

"Operation Mockingbird"? Funny, Ann Coulter didn't mention it in Treason; you'd think she would have.

Where did you encounter this? Whose "operation" was it?

... think about how many MEXICANS died as a result of this program.....

And about how many Mexican DP's could wind up streaming across the border to claim political asylum in this country, while Obama laughs his ass off at us and everyone else.

You surely don’t do enough research if you don’t know about Operation Mockingbird.
You should have googled it before you made your post.

Interesting enough, some of the players tie in with the step-father of Obama’s supposed girlfriend.

“And about how many Mexican DP’s could wind up streaming across the border to claim political asylum in this country, while Obama laughs his ass off at us and everyone else.”

That was a huge problem before, but now that Americans are running out of money to pay them, and MExico is running out of Mexicans to send us, things are slowly stabilizing on that front.

(Maybe just wishful thinking on my part, but many of the illegals in my town aren’t doing so well - the work has dried up with the cash they were paid for it.)
