The hand-wringers don’t like the truth-telling. When Mitt wins, he can do what he wants without their say-so.

I guess I can take a layer of tinfoil off and say what I’ve said before. The GOPe didn’t want McCain to win and they don’t want Romney to win.

Many of these same elites supported and voted for Mr. Obama in 2008. Am I the only one who remembers this? Peggy Noonan, Christopher Buckley, Kathleen Parker, Colin Powell, etc., etc... They said Sarah Palin was too dumb, a Christer, too conservative, blah, blah, blah or that having a black president would heal all the wounds, yada, yada, yada or that fresh, bold ideas were needed, humina, humina, humina...

None of this matters a whit!

It is Romney vs Obama.

All of you who don’t like Obama ought to have the intestinal fortitude to hike your a$$ out to the polls and vote against him!

And, while you are there, vote for the most conservative House and Senate candidates in your state/district.

We can fix the RINO problem, but it is for damn sure that if Obama wins on Nov, 6 it will not be fixed.

Romney is the anti-Obama candidate — gitchera$$ out there and root for him and vote for him!

And, quit playing the “I don’t like Mitt because . . .” game!

Don’t you understand what the LIEberals are doing to us?

” The GOPe didn’t want McCain to win and they don’t want Romney to win.”

Correct.

I’m not really sure I’d put Bill Kristol in that category. I seem to remember he was probably more in favor of Newt Gingrich than he was Mitt Romney. Here’s a link to a video of him apparently defending Newt last year, but I can’t view it to confirm what he says. To me the real sign of an effete elite RINO establishment type is someone who supported Romney in the primary, which Kristol didn’t do. Kristol’s criticized Romney all along on a lot of the same fronts FR has, such as Romneycare. And I don’t expect someone to “pretend” they like a candidate just to be a “team player” if they don’t really like them. I look for honesty from anyone in the media.

Which ones? The Democrats or the GOPe?

I despised Bill Kristol long before this. He’s the textbook example of a beltway elite RINO.

Kristol is just one of those 'republicans' who likes to get his face on TV by criticizing Republicans.

It shows how 'objective' he is.

So, the Romniacs are revolting against their leader? These would be the guys who sold Romney to us because Gingrich/Santorum/Palin were too right wing. Now Romney is too right wing?

Its hard to take these guys seriously. In fact, I don’t. I wouldn’t even know what they said if I didn’t read it on FR.

The GOP-e are all clones of one another ~ kind of like a bacterial mat, maybe what you'd find in a stromatolite ~ a very primitive early life form.

They imagine they're on top but that's only because the tide is out. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Stromatolites_in_Sharkbay.jpg

Norah O'Donnell: “Now you see a number of Republicans, former Republicans criticizing Mitt Romney for his comment. Is this a turning point in the campaign?”

So far all these “turning points” have been in the minds of the faux journalists inhabiting the Washington media circle jerk. NBC can now adjust its poll to show an Obama surge.

why the are you directing this at me? I actually agree.

The effete elites are more dedicted to harumphing at the country club about how wonderful they are than actually doing something useful.

Myth Romney is a "Pathological Political Liar" (as I stated to NBC News during the 2012 GOP Convention) ...

Yes, I saw you a few weeks ago. You were holding a Newt Gingrich sign. So, it appears that, in your judgment, Newt Gingrich has the intelligence and values to be our Commander-in-Chief and govern our entire country?

Now Newt Gingrich has endorsed Romney...

If you genuinely believe Romney is that bad, then how can you still be holding a Newt Gingrich sign when he endorsed Romney?

Do you see how ridiculous your position is? If you are right about Romney, then you are insanely wrong about Gingrich. If you are right about Gingrich, then you are insanely wrong about Romney.

So which is it?

.

The Republican Party elites sabotage Republicans and help Democrats win. The elites demand certain candidates who will “appeal to independents” and “not be polarizing”. They spend the primary season attacking conservatives and everyone except their candidate. Then as soon as the moderate candidate wins the nomination they immediately join with the Democrats and attack the candidate to the MSM. They also attack the Tea Party and everyone one in the Republican Party who actually stands for something. They often back the Democrat candidate against the conservative.

The Republican elite chose Romney. They made it clear that Romney's conservative speeches were just for the idiot right wingers and that like an etch-a-sketch all conservative positions would soon be erased.

Now the Republican establishment is praising Obama and the Democrats and attacking Romney. The attacks are usually anonymous leaks to the MSM.

Sarah Palin must be amused by the irony. The Republican elites and the Romney people demanded that she not be welcome in the Republican Party and not allowed to speak at the convention. The Democrats and the MSM attacked her and the Republican elites threw her under the bus with the hope that it would appease the MSM.

Romney will now be subject to the same anonymous leaks and attacks the Sarah Palin was. The MSM will say that the election is lost and the Republican elites will agree.

Charlie Christ and the moderates the Republicans gave millions of dollars to in 2010 are backing Obama now. Ron Paul is working for Obama. Todd Akin and other conservatives are being abandoned by the Republican Party.

So, the GOPe shoved this liberals Republican down our throats, and now they are surprised he is who he is?

I don't think that Bain capital invested that much in Obama's election last time and millions this time just for the fun of it.

We could assume they love Romney and they're hedging their bets. That shows them very unsure of a Romney win.

We could assume they hate Romney and are finally getting to stick it to him.

Or we could assume they think the inside-the-beltway folks are all the same, that they trade this presidency thing back and forth, and that they've heard Obama gets a 2nd shot at it.

Maybe the GOP-e sees a depression coming, they don't want blame for it, so they're willing to give it to Obama.

Rasmussen polling, however, doesn't support a Romney loss at this point. He's actually leading by 2 points. The debates still remain. The nation is falling apart economically, in foreign policy, and in unity.

I'm not convinced it's over, but I do believe the GOP-e plays both sides of the fence.
