We rank 50th in life expectancy compared to other countries linkThis same propaganda is used to malign our health care system.
God is in the details. 12% of our population (African-Americans) have a life expectancy of 72 years. Also, infant mortality is factored into life expectancy. In the United States, an infant is considered born if it leaves the womb and draws breathe. Many of the countries with higher life expectancies--with their lower infant mortality rates factored in--have convoluted infant mortality measurements which skew their rates downward. In other words, many of their infant deaths don't count towards the total.

At the link France is listed at #14 but French males live about as long as the overall U.S. life expectancy. French women live much longer than the men and the average is raised, so the question is whether GM foods play any part whatsoever in either live span.

I've considered trying a vinegar-water mix to lower pH in garden soil a little (to counter alkali by about 1). Think that'd work?
