Gretchen Carlson was "Punk'd" on Monday on "Fox and Friends" by a young man who claimed to be unemployed and disappointed about Barack Obama.
The young man, Max Rice, was giggling at the cameras even before the interview started, hinting that something may not be right with him.
But Carlson went on with the interview.
"Hello, Miss USA, it's an honor," Rice said.
"Miss America," Carlson corrected him politely. "But close." (She won the 1989 Miss America Pageant while she was representing her native Minnesota.)
"Miss America, Miss Universe in my book," he said laughing and looking off camera.
"Oh ok, well thank you very much," she replied changing the topic.
"Now, tell me your story. You believed in the hope and change of President Obama, and so you voted for him. Now tell me about the next 3 1/2 years," she asked.
"Oh, I was a huge Obama supporter in 2008," Rice said drinking a Starbucks coffee. "I met him in third grade, when I was little."

People are very slow to grow up these days.
Glenn Beck said this morning that MSNBC Andrea Mitchell is beating FOX and Oreilly in ratings now. Beck has not said it but it is probably that so many conservatives have stopped watching FOX and many of the Obama base are now waking up and tuning in MSNBC.
Wish I’d run into that snot nosed punk somewhere.

Conservatives have jobs. They don’t have time to watch goofy morning shows.
The media’s continuing attempt to form the opinion of the masses bite’s FoxNews on the @$$!
They need to stop profiling the crowd, looking for the scrubby fat white guy in the wife-beater.
Aside from beck’s sour grapes, from my vantage (no TV) it sounds like Fox has been leaning too far to the left lately.
That would tend to reduce the number of viewers. When I did have TV I nearly smashed it due to that shepard smith creep.

This guy was a total @$$.
Whoever recruited him at FOX should be fired for not vetting him.
Carlson is a first rate classy lady and a real sharp, intelligent newswoman. She didn’t dismiss him over the mistake about her former title which had NOTHING to do with the subject at hand but was thinly veiled effort to put her down. It didn’t work. It was obvious who the jerk was and it was him.
She handled it appropriately once she realized he was plant.
Too bad they didn’t have the vaudeville “hook” to pull this jerk off the camera.
I’ve stopped watching FOX for the most part. Too many confrontation shows with people yelling back and forth or boring personality shows like O’reilly and not enough actual news. The only news I ever get is from the ticker across the bottom. I’d rather watch CNN on mute so I can at least get video of news events from around the world.

Krauthammer isn’t perfect but on the economy and foreign affairs he is dead on.
Hannity is a GREAT defender of conservatives. There are others like Carlson and Doocey.
Agree with you about most of the others though.
Also agree with you about Fair and Balances. We don;t need Fair and Balanced. There are a dozen or more major news organs which nothing but leftist propaganda. We need equivalents on the right.
MSNBC beat Fox 2 days in a row in the 24-54 category on the days of the 47 video debacle. It’s just 2 days. I don’t know if it’s a trend set in cement.
