U.S. Sen. Scott Brown told the Herald today hes rushing back to Boston to attend his first showdown with Elizabeth Warren after a standoff in the Senate over pending votes kept him on Capitol Hill.
All things look like a go, Brown told the Herald. He also blamed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for delaying votes on a spending bill to the last minute.
I guess Harry Reid decided to stop Senate business because of a debate, Brown said.
Brown said hes not on the flight yet and he could still miss his connection.
The debate is set to be televised tonight on Channel 4 beginning at 7.
Developing ..
That woman is living in her own world...she is denying reality!
-— And she doesnt address it.-——
So obvious, even a moonbat could see it.
Hee’s like a cat batting around a barely kicking mouse.
Stop the fight!
Ugh, was getting dinner ready. I'll have to re-watch that part.
He started off rough, talking too fast. Now he’s got passion and she’s all about cliches and seems like the wind has left her sails. Her canoe is leaking!
HA! He believes in climate change (took it right off the table)
And he knows the difference between man made and natural!
Wow, I want to hear more about Granny Warren and those asbestos victims. I didn’t know she represented Travelers Insurance Co.
Jim Inhofe heading the Environmental Committee? Another plus to Republican control of the Senate!
She is repeating the same lies and lines. Pathetic.
When brown is talking, she looks like she is clueless and backing into a corner.
-— And God,hes good looking. ——
That’s what my wife tells me. OTOH, she’s got Obama’s coat tails. So that should balance out.
My husband and I have met Sen. Brown, his wife Gail Huff and daughters Ayla and Arianna a few times (also Gail's mom and sister). Scott is much better looking in person, and his daughter Ayla is drop-dead gorgeous (she looks a lot like her dad). Ayla has an amazing singing voice as well - she was an American Idol finalist, I think in 2005 or so.
They are a beautiful family, but VERY down to earth and friendly.
Over and over she scare mongered, 'It's not about Brown's votes it's about Republican control.' Over and over she lavished praise on Obama. Over and over she talked about millionaires and billionaires.
She's a divisive shrew. Brown is right, she won't be 'bipartisan.' She'll be on the far Left with Barbara Boxer and company.
The twitter feed at the station's website showed the DNC is brilliant at astroturfing, stoking fires on social media to move their message. The RNC better get into the 21st century. Very few debate tweets were pro-Brown or neutral.
Yikes... I admit I'm not on Twitter yet...
The best part of debate was when Warren was blathering on about the high cost of a college education and how our college graduates are struggling to find jobs and pay their student loans. Brown replied by telling the audience how Warren makes $300k a year at Harvard for teaching ONE class a year and getting zero interest loans from Harvard to boot and then saying no wonder college costs are so high!
I was a little disappointed with Brown's sop to Hillary Clinton but took into consideration it's a Massachusetts audience he's trying to win over.
As for Warren, she kept talking about Obama's "great set of tools." What the hell was that all about?
She's finished. Other than the Hillary moment, Brown was on top of his game and scoring hit after hit on Warren.
I didn’t listen to debate—saw excerpts on TV (couldn’t take hearing Granny, figured I’d hear highlights on Howie’s show today) but will say there is a site put out by the Brown campaign called The Real Warren
A note to Granny: Youre not in Oklahoma anymore

Round one to Scott Brown.
Granny Warren is described in one of her bios as a legendary high school debater in Oklahoma.
Shes not in high school anymore.
The kid from the poor side of town handled her with ease, landing one blow after another. You could see how thin-skinned she really is. Shes not used to having anybody talk back to her.
When he was pummeling her on the asbestos litigation, and her $225,000 payday, and on the $700,000 she and her husband make from Harvard, she seemed on the verge of losing it. But Scott didnt go for the knockout that never works in a debate for a guy. Just ask Rick Lazio.
My favorite line was when he said, Can you imagine a Senate with 100 Professor Warrens?
I cant imagine 100 Professor Warrens anywhere, except in a nightmare.
Sometimes, watching those aw-shucks TV spots, you forget how sharp Scotts elbows can be. Like when she cited his vote against Elena Kagan for the Supreme Court he cited Kagans almost total lack of experience outside academia.
But before that, he hit her with a beautiful right cross: Im sorry I voted against your boss.
This woman has lived in Massachusetts for, what, 15 years. Surely she should have figured out by now that a lot of people here dont like Harvard. Or the Globe. Too many phonies in both places, of which she is currently Exhibit A.
Some of the blows Brown landed were subtle, almost too quick for the judges to score. Like at the end when he mentioned her bragging about being the founder of the radical Occupy Wall Street movement.
Other times he would circle back around, as he did with the Indian question. She was prepared, as well as she could be, considering that everyone knows by now shes a complete fraud who would still be nearing retirement in some tank town if she hadnt decided to check the box.
Then he brought up the box again, slamming her Johnny-one-note calls for higher taxes, while she wont check the box to pay higher taxes herself.
She hasnt been in the real world for a very long time, at least since she started checking the box and stealing recipes from The New York Times [NYT]. She thinks were stupid. Does she think we arent reminded of her political trajectory when she keeps saying, Im in this race because ?
Shes in this race because she was drafted, by the Politburo that runs the Democratic Party in this state and country. She wasnt playing well with others in D.C., so this was her consolation prize. A U.S. Senate seat.
If I were an apparatchik this morning in one of the Peoples Republics, Id be asking, where is Marisa DeFranco when we need her?

(DeFranco was muscled off the ballot at the convention despite having the credentials. I am unenrolled and took a Dem ballot so I could vote for Mary Ellen Manning, who lost; I wrote in DeFranco for Senate and Tisei, the GOP 6th dist candidate, in place of John Tierney)

BUT....they are Kennedy-lovin Boston Irish.
You have to live in Boston to believe how bizare the people are.

And there is no shortage of them. I grew up in Newton, Mass.
Now home to Barney Frank. I left Mass the day I graduated college, and never returned.
