Washington (CNN) - Republicans are moving three staffers out of Democratic-leaning New Mexico and shifting them to Colorado and Nevada, two states where the presidential race is more competitive.

The Republican National Committee and Mitt Romney's campaign will continue to maintain staff and victory offices in New Mexico, a spokesman for the RNC said.

Three staffers and CNN makes it look like the RNC is abandoning NM? Methinks 0bama's internal polling numbers don't look too good. Right, CNN?

Its CNN, man. Remember only 10 days ago they said R&R were giving up on Ohio, FLA and other critical states.

“I guess another fair weather RINO in the making...”

Nope, she is one decent lady. The leftists in this state have attacked her relentlessly.

She understands our State very well and has tried to make a difference against radical environmentalist, California commies and a whole host of corrupt politicians. She came in following the biggest criminal politician in the USA...Bill Richardson. Quite a mess he left us in.

She is the first Hispanic Woman Governor and; if she had been a democrat, huge accolades would have been poured over her. As it is, she is ignored and barely noticed.

I have a lot of respect for her.

When the campaigning for a gig in the Admin didn’t pan out, its back to RINO for “martinez”.

“..its back to RINO for “martinez”.”

She can’t go back to something she never was...she isn’t a RINO.

Absolutely correct! There’s no way to put a price tag on Romney’s LDS support, There is also a large LDS population in New Mexico. This isn’t just votes, it’s organization on the ground.

Note the source.

Usually the campaign enlists state Republicans to coordinate the campaign legs and office work and door to door contact. If three people determine the outcome, then it was lost anyway.

Moving three individuals from the Romney campaign shouldn’t mean all that much overall, but CNN will use anything including Governor Martinez’ remarks against Romney to lower morale and turn out prospects.

Probably a good move. Susan Martinez made some comments yesterday disparaging Romney’s “47%” remark.
Don’t think NM will go our way unless Romeny does a landslide which is still possible IMO.
_______________________________

Since the day before her remarks aired, NM turned up on a list as the POOREST state in the US, she almost had to.

A large portion of NM residents belong to the 47%.

Well crap!
I thought I Martinez would deliver the state for Pubbies...
She was so great at the convention.
I guess another fair weather RINO in the making...
Too damn bad.

She’s been fighting very hard against the Democratically controlled NM state legislature and isn’t a RINO BUT with so many NM citizens on some form of government assistance there isn’t much she can do.

Romney is right, those people will continue to vote for Zero. NM just ranked as the poorest state in the US and I daresay that many of our residents here claim EBT, welfare, WIC, ADC etc. etc. Having lived their entire lives milking the system, long term government assistance receivers are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.

She isn’t a RINO, she’s a hard core conservative. She didn’t campaign for a gig in the future Romney administration either. She has very strong family reasons to stay in NM and has said repeatedly she would not leave the state for a job while those reasons exist.

“Thanks for sticking up for her. She made a huge impression on me with her convention speech.”

The Susana Martinez you saw at the convention is the same person that you would meet any day of the week. She is consistent and unassuming.

I am glad she is our Governor and I trust her judgment.

I’d treat anything coming out of CNN the same way you treat anything coming from Hanoi Hannah or Tokyo Rose.

Yeah, but NM elected her!
So they speak. Conservative in some form of voting....
So I don’t get that NM is not in play....

THIS is the e-GOP we know so well - the one that snatches defeat before they ever really create an opportunity for victory.

Oh, come on; they did that when they anointed Romney, which happened before any of the primaries.
Nobody's really excited for him and, let's be honest, it's better/easier-to-win if you're voting for someone and not against someone.
