My understanding is that the reinforcements they sent (from several hundred miles away) were 8 civilian contractors. Up against a hundred or more attackers with heavy weapons.
Something about this doesn’t sound right. I understood at least one of them was killed too... can someone confirm this?
It does not sound right. No air assets?
I don't know whether they were civilian or military, but I did read on FR that 2 members of this team were KIA.
