Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, likened President Barack Obama to President Richard Nixon on Thursday, slamming Obama for having “an enemies list.”
“Not since Richard Nixon have we seen a president who puts together an enemies list and has a whole team pursuing it,” Issa said on Fox News’s “Fox and Friends.” “That’s what’s happened in this administration. It’s sad. It’s not the America I want to see going forward. I sincerely hope that after the election, regardless, the American people will have made a statement that they won’t tolerate this.”
Issa’s remarks came in the wake of a story in the Daily Caller, much-discussed in the conservative blogosphere, highlighting what some consider a collaboration between Department of Justice officials and the liberal watchdog group Media Matters and an effort to target critics of the administration.
“I think the important point is, these people represent the culture that President Obama brought into Washington, a culture of division, a culture that embraces the concept of, the 1 percent is evil and somehow the rest of America just needs to…punish the 1 percent,” Issa said. “I guess I’m part of the 1 percent for purposes of their attack. So are you.”

Call me skeptical, but all we’ve heard regarding any investigation of Obama, Holder etc has been bluster. Is Issa gonna get really mad and start printing his harshly worded memos in 14 point pica bold italic with lots of exclamation points? Oh please. As I understand it, and arrest for contempt has something like a 24 hour lifespan.
