And we no longer educate our children

Ahem..... I believe you meant to say "some people" no longer educate their children. I certainly did and the majority of homeschool parents are educating their children.... (but I get your point - government schools...)

Yes that is what I meant to say. Unfortunately, a majority still. We sent our two kids to public school, yet I believe we were still able to "educate" them, after the fact and mostly by example, and I have to say it was because of a Mr. Rush Limbaugh. Now in spite of their public education my grown kids are as conservative as we are and better citizens than I ever will be. Three of my four grandkids are being home schooled, and believe me they are being educated. My 12 year old grandson CAN understand a Tom Sowell column! And I am not worried about my one grandchild who goes to public school, he is getting his real education at home as well. Home schooling parents are true American heroes, and we reward them by making them pay double for the cost of educating their children. It would be great if Romney's proposed voucher program would also address this injustice.
