Woman Scares Off Burglar With Gun Shots(WI)

From the Dane County Sheriff's Department:

Madison, WI. September 22, 2012 – at approximately 2:09 am, Dane County Sheriff's Deputies, along with Officers from the Madison Police Department, responded to the 3500 block of Commercial Ave., Township of Blooming Grove, for a report of a home invasion where a female resident had been confronted by an intruder.

The investigation revealed that the resident, while investigating the sound of footsteps, was confronted by a masked intruder, who attempted to use a form of pepper spray on her. In response to this, the resident, who had armed herself with a handgun, fired several shots at the intruder, who subsequently fled the residence on foot. The resident was not injured during this incident.

Let’s hope that she put at least one through him, and he shows up at an ER claiming that he was just minding his business at home, watching TV, when a bullet hit him.
