TEHRAN, Iran — A senior commander in Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard has warned that Iran will target US bases in the region should a war with Israel break out.

Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh says no Israeli attack can happen without US involvement, making all US military bases a legitimate target.

zer0 and his crowd (of course) work for the other side. Russia has always worked for the other side, except maybe for six or eight years during the time the communists were overthrown. The average Russian enjoyed freedom so much, they voted to go back to communism. Such a huge distraction would give the green light for China to nab the Spratley Islands and maybe Taiwan. It would allow the Russians to go into Georgia. It would allow North Korea to take a whack at Seoul. And who knows what else.

“Why attack the US and bring them into the war?”

That assumes a president Obama would let our soldiers shoot back. He won’t protect our ambassadors. Why should he protect our soldiers.

The only reason to let our guys shoot back that I can think of that would appeal to him is it would be a bad photo-op. But even so, the old media would cover for him thru the election. After that, it does not matter. He will govern thru executive order and really won’t care about his public standing.
