Nancy Pelosi has a starring role in a new ad for the Romney campaign -- and the House minority leader doesn't like it at all.
The new 30-second ad, titled "Mute Button," uses an anecdote from the new Bob Woodward book "The Price of Politics" that shows Pelosi muting President Barack Obama while he was on a speaker phone during negotiations for the economic stimulus package in the early days of Obama's term.
Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid "went on with their meeting, ignoring the president, not even listening to what he had to say," the ad's narrator says. "If he cannot lead his own party, how can he lead America?"
In a statement Sunday, Pelosi called the ad "clearly ... an act of desperation" and denied that she ever muted Obama.

I object to Nancy Pelosi.
Very effective by grouping Reid, Pelosi, and Obama together. Shines light on the 3 most despicable Dems in one 30 second ad. Also, shows the Dem dysfunction while also making Obama look like a feckless incompetent. Great ad!
Yep, three of the most reprehensible folks in America. Reid edges the other two out for most odious, IMHO..
Mute buttons are fine but I want to see negative ads on the economy putting the onus on Obama and making him the owner of this economy. Nothing will knock down Obama’s numbers better than negative ads showing his responsibility for this terrible economy.
Did that really happen? Did she and Reid really mute 0?
The entire UNIVERSE objects to Nancy Pelosi.
In fact, the entire universe looks at Nancy Pelosi, then looks at God and says "WTF - is this one of your sick jokes? Go ahead, tell us THIS time that we have to reach a higher level to understand. Just LOOK at that thing!"
And God replies, "Alright, alright, maybe I went a little too far..."
If Obama was saying something relevant to Pelosi, she ought to have been listening, of course; but Woodward doesn't clarify that. On the other hand, if he was speaking with Harry Reid about something irrelevant to Pelosi, why shouldn't she carry on a side conversation with someone else?
And anyway, what does this have to do with Obama? At worst, it reflects badly on Pelosi, but Obama wouldn't have even known about it.
