Obama Starts Ball Rolling for Michelle to Run
Big Government ^ | 9/23/2012 | William Bigelow

President Barack Obama is sounding more like Bill Clinton every day. Now he’s testing the waters for a possible run for the presidency by his wife by disingenuously saying she’ll never run:

She definitely could be the president, but she'll never run for the presidency -- 'cuz she's got too much sense … She's an incredible person and an incredible talent. Politics is not her thing.

She definitely “could” be the president. She’s an incredible person and an incredible talent. Obama missed his calling; he has a career as Michelle's press agent just waiting for him.

But this is typical Democratic Party pablum: create someone they think has “star-quality” who has never had experience governing on the national level, and then sell them as magnetic enough to make the magic happen. Barack Obama is the quintessence of this kind of effort, but Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were also anointed as fresh-new stars capable of running the country. It really dates back to JFK, who had very little genuine experience as a senator when his daddy’s money helped buy him the nomination.

Total hogwash. They are heading as far off the mainland to Hawaii and as fast as they can get there before it hits the fan in January. I bet they have contacts already in place if they need to high tail it to Indonesia or Kenya.

This is a load of horse crap. Just imagine a legitimate rat officially running against the narcissist. He or she would be cut down on their own front lawn Chicago drive-by style in a N.Y. minute.

I loved Redd Fox and Sanford and Sons. In fact, (Julio)Gregory Sierra and I served together in the Air Force in Libya. We were on the same radar crew at the 633rd AC&W Squadron at Wheelus Air Base in 1956-57- and early 58..

Someone make it stop! :( Gonna need therapy by the time this election season is over. The very thought of Mooch being prez is enough for me to start looking for a new country.

Wow, neat! Thanks for sharing that. I’ve enjoyed Gregory Sierra in many TV productions including “Barney Miller.”

...SHE is at least Constitutionally qualified. having both parents born in the USA and citizens thereof...

What does the Constitution say about Wookies being President?

It makes me feel like throwing up to know that there are a lot of idiots in this country who would actually buy into the idea that she would make a great president.

She would probably make ALMOST as great a president as Paris Hilton.

The first First Lady wears clothes that look like they came from the bargain bin at Goodwill ...what a horrid embarrassment she is ... Aunt Esther would be a vast improvement.

We shouldn't be overly judgmental. After all, it isn't easy to fashion coordinate when are forced to have your clothes custom made by Omar the Tent-maker ... and your choice of fabric is limited to shower curtains and upholstery covers ... and you have to cinch things in with a tasteful boob belt that naturally accentuates your overly abundant butt ... and you have to hide your arm pit hairs ... and cover your mustache with layers of makeup ... and you insist on attending the dumbest social functions ... along with a blithering idiot.

I just don’t get the FReeper tendency to dismiss the FLOTUS as ugly. She is a very beautiful woman. The problem is that she embodies the verse in Proverbs about a beautiful woman without discretion.

Really? You don't get it?

Really? You think she's beautiful?

IMO...not ugly but certainly not beautiful, except on the cover of mags after all the air-brushing.

Nothing in Proverbs about an ugly face, a bucket mouth and a linebacker’s rear end.

Matter of taste, but yeah, I think she’s very pretty. Doesn’t mean she’s not an ass.

I sincerely believe that if Obama was a conservative Republican, FR would have been filled with posts about “our beautiful First Lady” for the past four years, and the first lib to say she has a hind end like a linebacker would have been called a racist.

Now, that’s not to say any of us would have praised her fashion sense, but...

Now (#58) you are not arguing that she is beautiful, or even attractive. You are simply suggesting that partisanship trumps judgment.

Not for me it doesn’t.

You seem to be trying to win points for debating by pretending I’ve changed my position. I think Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman, and I think she is petty, controlling and ideologically twisted. The “I’m proud of my country for the first time” comment tells the story all by itself.

And yes, I do think that if she was a conservative, people on FR would not be calling her ugly. Folks around here act like she’s Wasserman-Schultz or something.

That’s my last word on the subject. More important things to do, etc.
