The first time I’d ever heard of Dick’s Sporting Goods is when they bought a regional chain here in Southern California, Chick’s Sporting Goods. True story. I like to refer to the rebranding as “the sex change”.
Sounds like when Chick’s merged with Dick’s it became Chick’s with Dick’s.
