'Game Change' wins big at Emmy's [What a shock: Sarah Palin bashing movie is rewarded]

Politics didn’t escape Sunday night’s Emmy Awards in Hollywood.

Actress Julianne Moore, upon accepting her Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her depiction of Sarah Palin in HBO’s “Game Change,” told the crowd: “Wow. I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down.” (Palin was a frequent critic of the film, which focused on the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008.)

Anyone see "The Kennedys"? Outstanding....and the characters were not caricatures....Those actors deserved awards.

I heard that there’s only 7-pages of the book that are devoted to Sarah Palin.

Only Hollywood libtards could manage to make the whole movie a hit-piece on Palin and leave all of the other information out...

The Obamawood awards ceremonies have become little more than picking ‘floaters’ out of a latrine.

Oh yes, the pro-sodomy “Modern Family” also won as did the conservative-bashing John Stewart.

I’ve read the book; there’s really very little about Sarah Palin. It’s mostly about the Clintons and the Edwards and Obama, if I remember correctly. The script of the movie - of course - focused on Hollywood’s weird obsession with Sarah.

It’s a good book - the stuff on the Edwards family is hilarious!!

I was walking through the room when kimmel was doing his monologue and he asked how many there would be voting for Mitt Romney. The crowd cheered loudly... I'd say better than half. THAT in itself tells a story. Go and check it out for yourself. I am certain someone will post kimmel’s opening somewhere.

Folks on the forum pretty much know my low opinion of Sarah. That’s my personal take. I’m honest about it.

That being said, this movie seems to be a Leftist wet dream consisting of scene after scene of Palin being revealed to be a disgusting inept self-centered political animal.

One clip they showed bits of last night, showed a supposed McCain/possibly other Republican operative telling Palin that this wasn’t just about her, it was about the nation and what was good for it.

The implication was that Sarah wouldn’t play ball, and was thinking of herself above the team or the nation. I think that’s hogwash.

From the period I remember the McCain team thinking she need to be muzzled, not because she was looking out for herself, but because she wanted to take the gloves off and go after Obama with fervor.

The McCain team basically confirmed this later on, when they criticized her for not wanting to stay on the game plan they devised. I think most of us know there was frustration on her part that the team didn’t want to take Obama to task.

In this instance, I think Palin was right, and it grates me something fierce to see the media try to spin it as if she were doing something bad against the nation. For heaven’s sake, we’ve got a guy in there trying to destroy the nation right now, and Palin has nothing to do with it. Yet they can’t bring themselves to focus on his negatives, and still focus on the imaginary ones they make up about her.

Once again the name of Tom Hanks rears it’s ugly head, as people associated with the movie “Game Change” credit him for all his help/support making the movie.

Of course Julianne Moore said she was validated by Palin giving a big thumbs down for the movie. Here’s a member of the political team that has tried to smear Romney for attacking women, attacking a women. What a fraud.

Palin isn’t my cup of tea, but she’s got more class in her little finger than 80% of the people attending that awards freak show last night.

How can so many people get so jazzed over so little? And what was last night, the celebration of boobs night? It looked like the word had gone out, that the breasts were to be on parade. That dumb blond from “Modern Family” must have said “nipple shield” at least three times. Enough already! And then there were the speakers..., even more boring sagging boobs.

Hanks put his Emmy on his or some other persons car so it looked like a hood ornament. He then video taped it and placed it on YouTube. One of the media people asked him how he did that so fast, and he looked like a second grader whose mommy just told him his drawing of stick figures was the most beautiful art she’d ever seen. His giddy smile and obvious pride was just eerily childlike. He could barely talk.

I wasn’t funny. It was juvenile. He looked like a dufus, laughing at his own joke. I mean, he is a joke, but should he be laughing at that? And then there’s the idea that he put the video up on YouTube. Can we just agree to disagree about that.

All this for an effort to destroy a person’s chance to run for elective office ever again.

Palin may not be my cup of tea, but as I said, she’s got far more going on than these clowns do. Trying to destroy a woman who hasn’t done them any wrong, is quite vile IMO.

This really was an attack on a woman. You know, the kind of thing that really ticks the loyal opposition Liberals off.

Of course there is no loyal opposition these days among Liberals. They’re just vile disgusting anti-American destroyers.

Can’t wait to take a pass on anything Hanks touches from here on out. Scum is putting it too mildly. Not just Hanks either. The whole swamp last night was filled with them.

“I was walking through the room when kimmel was doing his monologue and he asked how many there would be voting for Mitt Romney. The crowd cheered loudly...”

I noticed that too, LLS. A resounding, loud cheer from the right! I don’t know if it was half of the audience but sure sounded like it.
I thought Kimmel asked if there were any Republicans in the audience.

Julianne Moore: Let’s give her and her dowdy yellow gown a big thumbs down for her acting job and everything else!
How interesting that she thinks she can play Sarah better than Sarah herself!

As a conservative project, we are compiling a list of the worst Lib Hollywood offenders as well as some of the brave right leaners who happen to be movie actors.

We intend to publish it as a “guide” for those of us
who don’t want to give any of our money to this anti- American, flaming pack.

I guess the safe thing is not to go to any movies in theaters...even if the main star isn’t a lib, there are bound to be others populating the film.

But stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Clint Eastwood deserve our support for their quiet opposition to the insanity of their lefty profession.

When it comes to moore... “trust no one... the truth is out there”. The truth is that she is just another commie. No doubt about it... kimmel asked “How many of you are going to vote for Romney”?

Wow. You start out that long winded reply saying you don’t care for Palin and u still expect people will read all that?

I skipped down to the end and was surprised you’re just finding that Tom Hanks isn’t to your liking. What took you so long? Astute FReepers wrote him off long ago.

I’ve only been saying the same thing the last fifteen years.

He was throwing $10,000 a plate fundraisers for Clinton.

When he was making the military movies, I told folks I wouldn’t pay a dime to see them. He takes that money and stabs our troops in the back with it by supporting Leftists that will put them in harms way.

So does he actually support our military, or does he try to profit off our military, so he can make a bundle donate part of it to Leftists?

Oh sure, he’ll give a small amount of it to the troops to make a big statement. Then he’ll vote for a Clinton, Gore, Kerry, or Obama figure.

As for my take on Palin, if I don’t particularly care for her, and I still come to her defense, it means I think the Left was way over the top in their treachery towards her.

You might want to consider that. Whether you do or not, it really makes no difference to me. My goal here is to post what my thoughts are, not what your thoughts are.

Hanks is the most successful chameleon in Hollyweird.
As a highly skilled actor, he can play both sides of the street without skipping a beat.

I’m just saying that beginning your comment with “I don’t care for Palin” that preceeds a long winded post is going to be ignorned by many. But I already understand it makes no difference to you. Oh, and your post and reply are also rather condescending, but I’m guessing that also makes no difference to you.

You come to me telling me how I should post.

You state or perhaps imply that I really shouldn’t express my true beliefs.

You tell me you don’t even read most of what I’ve posted, but belch away unimpeded.

You tell me my posts are long-winded.

Then you tell me I’m condescending.

Okay..., well thanks. Some day perhaps I’ll post on your level. Gosh, I sure hope not.
