I think I was about 16/17 at the time, my mom took me to this speech and book signing thing with Hannity.
He signed her book and I shook his hand and he called me a “great American”.
Then he asked me if I was driving yet cause he had this cherry red ‘93 Mazda on his lot that handled just great and he told me it could totally get me laid.

LOL, pretty much had the same reaction.
My point if you didn’t get it (I think you did), is looking back at that and seeing him on tv, that’s how much sincerity he has, as much as a used car dealer. He seems so transparent to me now.
Isn’t “great American” like his catchphrase?
He was the first person besides a sarcastic teacher to call me “sir”. LOL
He’s never been one of my go-to guys. I never watch his show, well almost never. Once in a while I do if I accidentally hear he’s going to have a guest I’m interested in.
He’s not really a Conservative in my opinion. He mostly goes through the motions, but you can tell he hasn’t studied all that much. His producer probably brings him big fish, and he muddles through it.
Hey, that’s my take and I’m sticking to it.
Alan Colmes was a shrill jerk but the show was more watchable with them bickering. He’s insufferable by himself. Once a hot commie chick filled in for Colmes, they should have kept that going.
