“None of your business” is the exact answer.
I can see two things happening here...The alderman needs some time to fight off the demands his constituents are placing on him...This could also be a way for them to try and make Chick-Fil-A appear to be back tracking again, without Chick-Fil-A ever committing to anything in the first place. This will make the alderman look like he has tried to do something...Bring this back out again as another distraction during the political season.
If Chick-Fil-A did committ or agree to something, then internally the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing, and they need to fix that pronto...otherwise this could get ugly.
