Michelle Obama:’Back when our great-grandparents were riding that Underground Railroad’
Written on September 24, 2012 at 9:12 am by FPP

**SNIP**

Now, back when our great-grandparents were riding that Underground Railroad, back when John Lewis was marching across that bridge in Selma, and Jim Clyburn was sitting in an Orangeburg jail, the injustices we faced were written in big, bold letters on the face of our laws. And while we may have had our differences over strategy, the battles we needed to fight were very clear.

Seriously, why doesn’t some enterprising reporter ask her some questions about the underground railroad...track spacing, type of locomotive, etc.

She is supposedly a smart woman...and she thinks there were cho cho trains to ‘ride’.

... when John Lewis was marching across that bridge in Selma, and Jim Clyburn was sitting in an Orangeburg jail, ...We knew that to end slavery, we needed a proclamation from our President, an amendment to our Constitution. To end segregation, we needed the Supreme Court to overturn the lie of “separate but equal.” To reach the ballot box, ...

Dogs and firehoses at the bridge in Selma - provided by Democrats.

Orangeburg jail - probably operated by Democrats.

Presidential proclamation ending slavery - provided by a Republican.

"separate but equal" - implemented by Democrats.

Restricted access to ballot box - implemented by Democrats.

Revisionist history - propagated by the Ministry of Truth.

Lots of white folks took great risks to make that Underground Railroad a possibility.

You are now the wife of the president of the US of A. Ain’t that enough for you?

Not if she hates America and whitey. BTW, I was listening to a program on local history and free men of color owned a lot of plantations along the Mississippi River and owned slaves as well. So, the slave thing is not necessarily a black on white thing it is also a black on black thing. And, who do you think brought those slaves to America from their beloved Africa and sold them to the slave owners?

Michelle’s oldest grandparent was born in 1909. The civil war ended in 1865.

Unlikely that any of her great-grandparents were ever slaves. Great-great-grandparents, probably. Great-grandparents, probably not.

Her great-great-grandparents and great-grandparents were probably Republicans and huge fans of Abraham Lincoln.

What does Michelle know about the underground railroad. The only train she knows is the gravy train with that $300,000 patronage job in Chicago before she left for the White House.

Underground Railroad, chains, lynching, discrimination, racists, ......blah, blah, blah. I don’t know how others feel, but I have had this crap shoved down my throat for four years and am over it. If one wasn’t a racist before Obama, they are close to being one now.

The final stage of defeat is the race card. If I recall it didn’t work out for Al Gore.
