I’ve not seen info for my plan yet for next year. How are they justifying the increase?
They are not justifying it. They call it
‘A New Direction for You and CSC’.
‘To better align our programs with CSC’s ongoing
transformation and long-term business plan,
as well as to be responsive to
federal healthcare reform and escalating
healthcare costs, we are implementing a new
strategy for US employees in 2013.’
‘We are working to improve efficiency, reduce cost
(for CSC I take it), eliminate administrative
burden by consolidating, standardizing and
simplifying our healthcare benefit offerings.
IOW - we’re giving you a choice between a crap sandwich
and a rotten egg because it costs us less.
They are offering ‘Healthy Behaviors’ program, at a
lower premium with high deductible and a nanny component.
They have made the premiums salary-based, we pay more
than someone making less.
No justifying, just here it is.
I wonder if they will continue to share what the
company pays for the plans.
