On his syndicated radio show on Tuesday, Fox News host Sean Hannity said the fact that it took the media so long to debunk the White House claim that the killing of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya was the result of an anti-Islam YouTube video is indicative of a larger problem, telling the mainstream media, President Barack Obama is “laughing his ass off at all of you because you are so dumb.”
“It’s astonishing,” Hannity said. “Obama acts as if his words are actual reality, and they mean nothing to him. And I’m going to tell you something — all you liberals out there, all you people in the media. I’m telling you, Obama in private is just laughing his ass off at all of you because you are so dumb, so gullible, so easily manipulated. And all he has to do is tell you that there is a doughnut in the sky and you’ll report there’s a doughnut in the sky. And behind the scenes, he knows he is advancing his radical agenda and that you’re helping him do it. And he knows what fools you all are. And he knows that you have basically drunk the Kool-Aid and that you’re out there and you will say and do whatever he tells you to say and do.”

I think Hannity is a talking point kind of guy and not much of a thinker. He misses a ton of low hanging fruit, especially in the face of a liberal caller. For example, the other day a lib called in complaining that Republicans wanted to end the EPA. Hannity could have shut this guy down in two seconds flat by pointing out that it was a Republican President who created it. Now, that was not to say I expected Hannity to endorse the EPA but it would have been a quick way to point out to the caller how absolutely misinformed and foolish he was. Instead, Hannity stumbled through an argument based on the now trite “Republicans want dirty airm dirty water. . .” talking point. It gave the caller far too much credibility.
Well, nothing surprises me anymore about Sean ~ he spent a good 6 months arguing on behalf of an income tax increase for the working poor, the elderly on fixed incomes, and welfare recipients.
I'd hoped Romney could have handled that one better but he and Sean have been duking it out for Don Quixote's job ~ which, btw, means we are somewhat overdue for someone to kick off the Republican Fall campaign.
