'Dirty Jobs' Star [Mike Rowe] Rolls Up Sleeves for Romney Campaign
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/25/2012 6:28:31 PM PDT by Perdogg

Mitt Romney is getting a little help from a reality show star whose gig aligns perfectly with the candidate's prime directive.

It's all about the jobs, or the lack thereof in the Age of Obama.

Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame will campaign with the GOP presidential hopeful starting tomorrow in the crucial state of Ohio.

The Discovery Channel personality and Ford Motor Co. pitchman will offer his support Wednesday to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at a public event in Bedford Heights.

Romney's campaign announced the Rowe endorsement late Monday when confirming Romney's Cleveland-area itinerary for the final day of a two-day bus tour through battleground Ohio.

Maybe since they avoided Government Motors type bailout money, they can resist any pressure to get rid of him.

I agree. There is plenty of room and necessity in this country for good, honest, labor related jobs. This obsession with the idea that everyone should go to college is BS.

That's what Rowe tried to hammer into Obama's thick skull. Shovel ready jobs don't mean squat if you don't have guys who can make shovels, let alone know how to use them.

Maybe not- remember, Ford isn’t a wholly owned subsidiary of the US government- unlike GM.

I bet he gets an ear full about the general state of things from the small business folks he deals with on his job. I hope he gets along with Discovery channel and Ford after this.

I found this, the letter he sent to Romney and the one he sent to Obama four years ago, which I take it Obama never replied to, maybe Romney did.

“PS. In the interest of full disclosure I should mention that I wrote a similar letter to President Obama. Of course, that was four years ago, and since I never heard back, I believe proper etiquette allows me to extend the same offer to you now. I figure if I post it here, the odds are better that someone you know might send it along to your attention.”

Surprised about Mike Rowe, but glad he has some sense about what’s wrong with the current D.C. situation.

You’re help is greatly appreciated Mike.

Not just that, but there isn’t anything wrong with at least working some sort of blue collar work while you are in the process of trying to get a better job. I worked retail, and also self-employed at landscaping between the time I graduated from college and when I actually landed a real job.

And he pulled DAs (dead animals) off the roads of District 4, Medina County ODOT`s routes. I know a guy who worked at an ODOT outpost and routinely disposed of animal carcases. DA patrol is DEFINITELY a DIRTY JOB! They refer to them as “creepy crawlies” during the warm months.

Did the cast of Deadliest Catch get to Rowe?
I can’t imagine too many liberals in that crowd.

Seriously, Rowe comes across as a real regular
guy with an excellent sense of humor. He may
be of more help to Romney than the Hollywimp
crowd is to the poser in chief.

He climbed all over and inside the Mackinaw bridge and then crawled around the bowels of the Soo Locks.

Isn’t it refreshing, tho, to see REAL MEN on TV, once in a while, who aren’t pussified, socially engineered, beta males? Breath of fresh air!
