'Dirty Jobs' Star [Mike Rowe] Rolls Up Sleeves for Romney Campaign
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/25/2012 6:28:31 PM PDT by Perdogg

Mitt Romney is getting a little help from a reality show star whose gig aligns perfectly with the candidate's prime directive.

It's all about the jobs, or the lack thereof in the Age of Obama.

Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame will campaign with the GOP presidential hopeful starting tomorrow in the crucial state of Ohio.

The Discovery Channel personality and Ford Motor Co. pitchman will offer his support Wednesday to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at a public event in Bedford Heights.

Romney's campaign announced the Rowe endorsement late Monday when confirming Romney's Cleveland-area itinerary for the final day of a two-day bus tour through battleground Ohio.

lol,, you think he really cares what FORD thinks ?
He can have his own show now, and he must have made enough money to be well off now.
I bet if he had his own late night talk show he would do well.

Boeing's guy Alan Mulally seems to have turned FORD motor co around.
Don't know if he's a Republican or Democrat but heard he's a devout Christian.

I am afraid Dummies are going to raise a stink and threaten to boycott. But obviously, Mike has thought that through and doesn’t care. Good for him!

His observation is brilliant and dead-on.

These skilled labor jobs are no longer points of pride but are shuffled off to immigrants, legal and illegal, because too many Americans have fallen in love with the idea of the idle desk job and frivolity.

There's also the attitude that the only "real work" involves sitting at a computer. I encounter that at tech sites and it's deplorable.

"Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth." Eph 4:28, (bold mine)

At Post 9 you can see a link to the open letter Mike Rowe wrote to Romney after the Tampa convention and a letter he wrote to Obama back in 2009 which, evidently, was ignored.

I would be bored sitting at a desk job... give me a backhoe operator or stream roller job anyday.

Hub and I do too. I especially like the paper towel commercials with his parents. They’re soooo funny!

Wouldn’t it be great if the Deadliest Catch crews came out for Mitt?

Talk about a shot of testosterone!

Politics is a Dirty Job but someone’s gotta do it! Mike Rowe is trying to protect and promote the jobs that do keep us all working.

From ostrich farming to cleaning storm drains this key “endorsement.” Mike Rowe has picked up a shovel and used it many times. Obama, where’s your shovel? Oh right you don’t have one.

I’m not worrying about Hollywood Types. Mike Rowe made his own success. He’s nobody’s lap dog. Discovery will keep him on as long as “Dirty Jobs” and “Deadliest Catch” bring in the bucks.

And they keep on bringing in the dollars. Wonder where Les Stroud and Bear Grylls lean on this?
