Romneys New Strategy

By kicking off his Ohio bus tour with an unusually blunt attack on Obamas big-government philosophy, Mitt Romney appears to have adopted a new strategy. Romney described Obamas vision of government as entirely foreign to anything this nation has ever known. He decried a larger government, taking more and more, intruding in your relationship with your doctor, investing, so to speak, in companies, picking winners and losers, or in his case, losers. Then came the biggest applause line: That is not the America I know. That is not the America that built Ohio.
Romneys attacks on Obamas 1998 remarks about redistribution could have been dismissed as an effort to divert attention from the 47 percent flap. Todays Ohio campaign-speech appears to signal a more serious pivot. This is how Romney has chosen to open his tour of the ultimate battleground state. Gone is Obama the likable guy in over his head. Now we have Obama the transformative ideologue. You dont need to screen clips from 2016, or even bring up European social democracy, to make the point.
Romneys earlier strategy of depending on reminders of Obamas failed economic stewardship to gently wean voters away from Obama wasnt crazy. Why alienate that thin sliver of Obama-sympathetic undecideds by making them feel like fools for having supported the president in the first place? Yet that framing made the election a choice between blaming Obama for our economic troubles or cutting him some slack for having been handed such a bad situation to begin with.
This new strategy changes things. By highlighting Obamas transformative policies, Romney gives voters a way to make sense of Obamas role in our economic woes. This is how the 2010 election was won.

I picture Romnet with a spool of rope a hundred feet high, essentially a LOT of rope...
All he has to do is to keep on reeling it out to Obama, not only will Obama hang himself but the miles of rope will also become snares for all those that rush to his aid.
More rope Romney!
maybe he could get West to campaign with him
I can tell you what to highlight..things only get better Obama’s policies run out..when Obama leaves them alone. housing crisis for example..he stuck his nose in the middleast to nation build and look what happenend
How does anyone ever come to the conclusion that Democrats are better with the econemy...drugs?
Okay .. lets all get this straight.
If you want to know what a GOOD poll is - look at Rasmussen. In every election, he uses “likely voters” for his polling data which gives him the most accurate numbers.
The left is not using the same polling data that Rasmussen uses. One of the latest polls - came out today - when redone using the Rasmussen stats .. Romney is ahead by 7 points. Thus, proving my point.
The left is using data from 2004 and 2008 - which is totally off - basically because they used “exit polling” to do their stupid poll. In 2004, that was the same method the left was using and then they couldn’t believe Bush won with over 4,000,000 more votes. In 2008, the dems were hyper-ventilating over Obama. And, as noted today on the internet, it’s dead silence on college campuses - whereas in 2008 it was a mad-house with Obama posters everywhere, etc.
All the new totally skewed polls are designed to do IS TO GET THE RIGHT TO STAY HOME - and this is proven by the fact that the lefty media has been continually saying “it’s all over” - meaning that their terribly skewed polls (7-13% oversampling of dems) proves that Romney cannot win.
This is all horse-pucky and I’m sick and tired of hearing all the whining about what Romney should or shouldn’t do.
And .. remember something important - “the silent majority” .. we haven’t disappeared or changed our vote .. we simply don’t answer calls for polls, and WE NEVER TELL PEOPLE HOW WE’RE VOTING.
WHY ..?? Because it messes with the dems and makes them throw a hissy-fit. What could be better than that ..??
