Multi-millionaire Ann Romney appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, professing her love for wholesale retailer Costco, gushing, 'we love Costco!' The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney told the NBC host that the pair regularly visits the chain, where customers can buy any number of products in bulk. She also said that the election of her husband, a Mormon, would signal that 'prejudices are left behind' just as the election of President Obama had done.

Playing the guilt card. /src on/Basically it comes down to whether I am a racist or religious bigot./src off/. I hate it when GOPers say this leftist crap.
I agree. Republicans should not play this game. Its disgusting. I doubt there are many people who will vote against Romney because he’s a Mormon. And most of them are on the Left, where most true bigotry resides these days.
Yep. Christian bad, Mormon bad, Jew bad.... Muslim? Good. Athiest? Also good, It's sickening.
In 2008, the voters left prejudice behind and elected a Moron.
I thought we were supposed to use the Leftists’ tools against them?
Given the man’s political history, religion is the least of the reasons to use to justify voting against him ~ which tells you Ann has been much more isolated than most folks understand to be the case.
If it helps to get rid of Obama, she can say anything she wants!... and I would encourage her to repeat whatever it is if it helps get rid of Obama. That’s all I care!
I guess Ann Romney hasn’t read the reports that shows that Costco supports Democrats, whereas Sam’s supports Republicans.
FWIW, I belong to both; and I prefer Sam’s, even though Costco is closer and located in a better neighborhood.
And the rest of them are on FRee Republic.
Why are you surprised that Ann Romney would do this?
It is common for mormons to play the victim card.
Besides independents and liberals really like victims.
That is funny, same for our family, and the employees at SC actually strive for customer service, where as CC, not so much.
Isn't that the truth! And I think the prices are slightly better at Sam's. Plus they have way more office products, which is why I joined in the first place.
Now that my knees are bad, I have trouble hefting the large boxes of copy paper, etc. Yesterday I ordered them on line, and delivery is free. I'll never haul them home from the store again!
Our Costo is right next to Sam’s. We do Costco because it has a gas station and Sam’s doesn’t. Also, we like the meat better at Costco. But when the kids were little, we joined Sams for a year and loved the selection of little kid friendly dvds.
In our area, the Costco parking lot is packed and the Sam’s is usually half full. We have a range of incomes, so the difference is probably the gas station.
Desparation City...
Doesn’t the opening line of this “subtle” hit piece tell you all you need to know? Rather than adressing her as a beast cancer survivor and current M.S. victom in remission, it addresses wealth which, by the way, was earned not given to her husband. The inteview comment regarding Costco was to show Romney was a rugular guy although Ann called him cheap rather than frugal. The Mormon comment was short and simply addressed that Americans do not vote prejudice.
For all of you who missed the interview, Ann was given a rather rousing applause from the audience, so much so that Jay had to tone it down. Not a bad response from what I would consider a normally Democratic audience.
