'Dirty Jobs' Star Rolls Up Sleeves for Romney Campaign

Mitt Romney is getting a little help from a reality show star whose gig aligns perfectly with the candidate's prime directive.

It's all about the jobs, or the lack thereof in the Age of Obama.

Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame will campaign with the GOP presidential hopeful starting tomorrow in the crucial state of Ohio.

The Discovery Channel personality and Ford Motor Co. pitchman will offer his support Wednesday to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at a public event in Bedford Heights.

Romney's campaign announced the Rowe endorsement late Monday when confirming Romney's Cleveland-area itinerary for the final day of a two-day bus tour through battleground Ohio.

cool! I like his show(s)

he has brass ones for the stuff he is willing to take on- including a graphic description of neutering a sheep I heard him discuss- with the alternative meaning that it implied that government regulations were STUPID

I knew he was a conservative then

I knew I liked that guy, but couldn’t put my finger on exactly why. Now I know.

I’ve always liked Mike Rowe. I thought it would be fun if he were to start a software company. It would be Called “Mike Rowe Soft.”

Why? FOMOCO didn’t take a bailout. I think he’s an effective spokesman for Ford.

What an incredibly courageous guy. Of course, his career is now over. No one — but no one — is as bigoted as liberals.

Man, you would have to have to be a Conservative to have the work ethics Mike Rowe has, to go to that job every day, knowing what was in store. Show me a lib that would willing to do what he does day in and day out. None that I know would go to those lengths to get a paycheck.

Right, I know.

But... we have experienced “O’s” thug-school, monkeyshines in the past. We know he is small, malicious and petty….and he regards nothing and no one beneath his attention.

How wonderful it will be to have a real MAN in the WH again!

Also, he does not take himself too seriously. He does not seem like a premidonna.

To be fair I heard Rowe on the Bill Bennett show this morning. Bill asked him if this event was “an endorsement of Romney.” Rowe replied “No it is not.”

I always liked Mike, his interesting and entertaining show, and his self-deprecating humor. Glad to have another reason to like him.

Hope not. Rowe is an Eagle Scout too. My boys are scouts and was thrilled when I could tell them that. Now I can brag to them about Rowe for another reason.

Noting the comment beneath the article about Rowe having written a letter to Romeny about skilled labor (Obama having been sent a similar letter and not responding) Would love to know more about that.
