We do not elect presidents by popular vote. We elect them through the electoral college which is a series of state-by-state contests.

What REALLY counts this election is the vote in three critical states: Virginia, Florida, and Ohio.

What does Rasmussen have to say about the STATEWIDE vote in each of those states?

The trend is our friend. Romney needs to keep pushing hard down the stretch. In 2008 that fool McCain actually "suspended" his campaign as if to appeal to voters at this time, which he did not.

You are right, except that there is a powerful correlation between the two. It is essentially impossible to overcome a 2% popular vote deficit with an electoral vote win.

I can tell you from personal experience that the mainstream media Anti-Romney memes are sinking in with the Sheeple. They are trying hard to paint Romney as an idiot, and it’s working.

Whether these people show up to actually vote is a different story, but the MSM is very effective at cutting someone apart.

There is a way to explain oversampling of Dems without some grand conspiracy theory.

I’m a registered Republican in a battleground state (Colorado) and literally have been called hundreds of times in the last two months. It’s hard to go 30 minutes without a push-poll or robo-call, it’s really making me mad, to the point that it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for me to be polled, because I cannot engage in even a fraction of these calls. IF the GOP-registered voters are especially being called a lot, that will burn them out (like me) so that responding is just not possible. That would skew results.

DIRTY TRICK Addendum: What if the Democrats are behind these no-name push-polls and burning us out, SO THAT WE WON”T ANSWER the actual polls? Quite a trick.

Rass has VA, FLA and OH in the margin of error with the incumbent under 50% in each. That is not a comfortable place for an incumbent to be.
