So typical. The British press headline is completely sensible to civilian readers.

For clarification purposes, do you believe oral sex between a husband and wife is a sin?

I didn't see anything about goats.

The court has shielded them. They are kids.

Wonderful actor.

Two generals: two slightly different interpretations.

Why do you think I’m upset? Not at all.

No, sorry, I didn’t see the little “smile” sign. You take care!

"I believe that little red tab on his right shoulder means he has a history of being a heat casualty. Soft."

I'm not by any stretch defending what he's accused of, but I found this bio on him from 2003 when he was a LTC. Not exactly the resume of somebody "soft"...

"LTC Jeffrey A. Sinclair received his commission in 1986 as a distinguished military graduate of the ROTC program at West Virginia University.

LTC Sinclair's first assignment was with 1st Battalion 15th Infantry, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer. In 1990, he was assigned to the 24th Infantry Division during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and served as a G3 Training Officer, Assistant S3 and Company C Commander in 2nd Battalion 7th Infantry. His next assignment was with the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served as a battalion S4 and Company Commander. Following Command and General Staff College, LTC Sinclair returned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served as an LNO and battalion S3. In 1999 LTC Sinclair was assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg where he served in Current Operations and as Chief of Plans and Training. Following this assignment LTC Sinclair served as the Brigade Executive Officer in 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, and as the Task Force Executive Officer in Task Force Panther in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. LTC Sinclair is a graduate of Command and General Staff College, the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Course, the Field Artillery Advanced Course, the Airborne and Jumpmaster Course, Ranger Course, SERE (High Risk) and Bradley Vehicle Commander Course."

Then the fact that most of us thought this was a homosexual assault is justified (unless you’re in the military and have a deeper understanding of the codes) by the use of “sexual assault” or “sodomy” over “rape.” In my opinion: more marginalization of women in every culture in the world.

Huh, you’d think someone who has accomplished so much could control himself. If true, he’s a disgrace to the Tab. And the Corpse.

Yep. You'd think he'd have a little more self-discipline, but I've also seen more than a few folks along the way who thought their achievements made them untouchable.

He may have pinned on that star and thought he was bulletproof.

Yes. The penis is made for the vagina, not the mouth. The mouth is for eating and speaking; not reproduction. (And the anus is made for expulsion of the contents of the lower intestine).

Authentic human sexuality consists of a natural union between man and woman, that can result in new life. If one or more of these elements is stripped out, the act is contrary to nature and thus an abuse of one’s sexuality and that of one’s partner.

The question of whether the man and woman are married (to each other) is completely beside the point. Just because a couple are married doesn’t mean any kinky perversion they can devise is thereby magically rendered natural and legit.

I know the concept of self-ownership is currently much in vogue especially in America, and is invoked to justify everything from tattoos to suicide. Blow jobs are just a point on this continuum, along with divorce, drug abuse, contraception, homosexuality, and abortion. According to this doctrine, as long as the participants are consenting adults, anything goes. “Good” is determined not by objective natural or divine law, but by consent. Of course, this is completely at odds with 4,000 years of Judeo-Christian moral tradition. Which is OK, because we are far more enlightened and therefore know better.

This report states that he is accused of didling around with women.

"Army accuses 82nd Airborne brig. general of sex crimes"

"The Army has accused an 82 Airborne brigadier general of sexual crimes, adultery and other offenses over inappropriate relationships with several women under his command, U.S. military officials said today.

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair faces, who was deputy commander of logistics and support for the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan, was ordered back to Fort Bragg, N.C., in May, unidentified military officials told the Associated Press. He has not been arrested.

The Fayetteville Observer lists the charges: forcible sodomy; wrongful sexual conduct; attempted violation of an order; violations of regulations by wrongfully engaging in inappropriate relationships and misusing a government travel charge card; violating general orders by possessing alcohol and pornography while deployed; maltreatment of subordinates; filing fraudulent claims; engaging in conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman; and engaging in conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline, or of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.

Sinclair, whose 27-year career has included three deployments to Afghanistan, two tours in Iraq and one tour in the first Gulf war, now faces an Article 32 investigation, the military equivalent of a preliminary hearing, to determine if he should be court-martialed.

The Army did not say in May exactly why Sinclair was relieved of command and recalled. A Fort Bragg official said only that it was "a criminal investigation," The Fayetteville Observer reported at the time.

AP says a Fort Bragg spokesman would not take questions today after announcing the charges at a brief news conference, saying they must be submitted in writing."

If you are correct, please explain these verses from Song of Solomon. It’s very specific and if one has done any study of the imagery contained in SoS, it is intellectually impossible to simply pass off SoS as a mere alegory of God’s love for his children:

Chapter 4:16 Awake, north wind,
and come, south wind!
Blow on my garden,
that its fragrance may spread everywhere.
Let my beloved come into his garden
and taste its choice fruits.

Chapter 5:5 I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride;
I have gathered my myrrh with my spice.
I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey;
I have drunk my wine and my milk.

Chapter 6:

2 My beloved has gone down to his garden,
to the beds of spices,
to browse in the gardens
and to gather lilies.
3 I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine;
he browses among the lilies.

Are you suggesting the Song of Songs extols unnatural sex? That is the silliest thing I expect to hear today.

You are correct that this biblical book is not an allegory of God’s love for his children. It’s about God’s love for his spouse — prefigured in the people of Israel, and revealed completely in his son’s Church. God’s love for the Church, and his relationship with her, has always been understood as spousal, as the New Testament reveals in extensive detail. This is why marriage is a sacrament, and explains why the sexual faculties proper to marriage are sacred and not to be abused.

Further to my comment yesterday: the myth of self-ownership is at the core of America’s DNA. Its origin is the concept of private judgment and resistance to authority on which the Protestant Reformation was founded. Self-ownership explains America’s emergence and rise in the world. It also explains our present decadence and fast-approaching end.

That BG must have pissed in someone’s Wheaties because a BG gets a pass on just about anything. BTW, the BG looks like queerbait.

P.S. Due to the politically senstitive nature of homosexuals in the military, something tells me we’re going to find out later that this was about homosexual acts but the official line right now says “female soldiers” as a cover.

I know, because there are women in the 82nd Airborne Div., which there should not be. Put men & women in close proximity under stressful conditions and sex results.

Same with the homos — allow them to serve openly and together, and you get a lot of butt sex.

No women assigned to combat units or roles, and no homos in the armed forces, period.
